2. I went back and double-checked the numbers from the photo I took

at that moment.

That's how I document this stuff. Grab a shot of it as soon as I see one of those graphics. Then copy down the numbers.

Ironically enough, now that we're up to an alarming 6,516,077 confirmed cases and 194,854 deaths (as of the last graphic I spotted), there's less of the rotating graphics we used to see at the right side of the TV screen all through the morning programming. It'd switch through two sets of maps of the US, countries with most cases, states with most cases, states with most recent cases (in the last 72 hours), and the world/US stats. I always went with that last one. But now things are simplified - even as the these numbers are astonishingly, hideously high. Nosebleed high.
