In reply to the discussion: Biden-My Statement On Faith: "For President Trump to attack my faith is shameful." [View all]Grammy23
(5,810 posts)15. When JFK was running for President I was about 12 years old.
I remember the buzz about his Catholicism being an issue for some people. Our neighbors across the street would not allow a friend of mine play at their house because she was Catholic. (They were Presbyterian.) It was said by some if JFK won that the Pope would be running the country.
I honestly thought wed come a long way from those ugly days. Who thought that a good and decent man like Joe Biden could have his faith used against him by a heathen like tRump? I surely hope that the voters will be offended by the ham handed efforts of tRump to denigrate Biden over his faith.
I say this as a person who lost all the religious upbringing I had a long time ago. But to talk bad about Bidens faith is to me a low blow and simply reflects tRumps desperation as he realizes he is going to be FIRED in November. Lose Bigly, asshat.
