It's weird, because the actual deposit doesn't show, by my available balance is $1200 more than the balance. I know that doesn't make sense, but this is sort of what my account looks like right now at my bank's site:
Current Balance: 1,200.00 more than the balance listed a bit below
Available Balance:1,200.00 more in this account than the balance given below
Then comes all my transactions this past month: deposits, debits, checks paid, and so on. And it's quite weird to see an amount of money in the current balance line at the top which is significantly above the last balance given.
Anyway, I want to share with all that I've gotten that money.
Now I'm going to give it away. Half to the local homeless shelter where I volunteer, half to a local food bank. I am sincerely grateful that I can do this, that I don't desperately need this money to pay my rent, or buy food for my kids.
Update: Not only was I able to send the money directly to the two groups, the homeless shelter and the food bank, I have already gotten an email thank you from each of them. I was able to tell them that it was the stimulus money, and that it was split between the two. I am so lucky and so glad I could do this.
