I think it's not unjust to consider these comments from Obama on his long-awaited return to 'politics' ... a bit sadly underwhelming, and dare I say .... a little tone-deaf in a sense?
Lets just say ... many of us were hoping for something more ... inspirational? Something a little less ... measured?
Doesn't denigrate the need for people to do more on their own, as you suggest ... but these are two separate points.
