Paul's Botique

I've posted this before, but with all of the drama today I pulled up this playlist as a distraction, and my day got better. It reminded me of my days cruising in my old Pinto. Happy carefree days! I hope it brightens someone else's day.

B-Boy Bouillabaisse is perfection.

Cats aren't jerks. They're just misunderstood.

This is an article from the Washington Post.

Cats aren’t jerks. They’re just misunderstood.
Feline researchers say many cats are quite social. Yours might even want to learn a few tricks.

Here is a link to a gift article, so no paywall. I wasn't sure how much to quote.

I've been without cats for a few years now, but most of what I read in this article is true! Hopefully some new cats will find me soon.

Cats aren't jerks. They're just misunderstood.

Sharing this article from Washington Post. It made me think of our much loved @Siswan, who has dealt with many of the issue noted. It starts by saying:

If you’ve lived with cats, you’ve probably found yourself staring at them after they’ve toppled a plant or swept a mug off the table, thinking: “Why did you just do that?”

I remember thinking this when my beloved Nina, as a kitten, knocked over a plant and peed in the dirt! I miss her so much.

SOtU: Mitch looks ... frozen

Every single shot of people leading up to the SOTU shows engagement and animation. Except for Mitch. Each time he looks immobile, frozen in time. Very weird.

Cool "Disco" Dan

Anyone remember Cool "Disco" Dan?

When I moved to this area in 1992 seeing his tags was part of riding the Red Line. I don't metro much anymore, but I don't remember seeing his tags in the last few years. Part of our fading history.

Reclaiming Territory, Texas Edition

The recent Tucker Carlson interview of Putin made a lot of claims about how Russia is simply reclaiming their own territory. I am thinking of the Mexican–American War, which I will admit I have only Wikipedia knowledge of.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican%E2%80%93American_War

If the current president of Mexico took the same view as the current president of Russia about reclaiming historical lands, what would happen?

I know that this is a very simplistic view of very complicated subjects. All responses appreciated.

Tucker Carlson exposed Putin's true war motive

Hopefully this isn't a duplicate post. Gifted Washington Post article.

Tucker Carlson exposed Putin’s true war motive: For Russia to own Ukraine

KYIV — Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host, thought Vladimir Putin went to war in Ukraine because he feared an imminent attack by the United States or NATO. Instead, after a two-hour interview of the Russian president in Moscow, Carlson said he was “shocked” to learn that Putin invaded for a different reason: “Vladimir Putin believes that Russia has a historic claim to parts of … Ukraine,” he said.

What are words for?

This has recently haunted my dreams, glad to pass it on to you.

My lips are moving, and the sound's coming out
The words are audible, but I have my doubts
That you realize what has been said
You look at me as if you're in a daze
It's like the feeling at the end of a page
When you realize you don't know what you just read

About ZERTErYNOthe

The username means nothing, it was randomly generated, but now I'm stuck with it. I grew up in a liberal Christen household, and my education is why I support Democratic ideology. I was a child of politicians, and was apolitical until I went through the trauma of 9/11 (I worked next to the white house at the time), anthrax, the metro accident, and so much more. What I witnessed made me understand why I need to be political.
