A Twitter Account That Copies Trump's Tweets Word For Word Got Suspended Within 3 Days

A Twitter Account That Copies Trump's Tweets Word For Word Got Suspended Within 3 Days

"Does Twitter have special rules for President Trump? Yes, and this account just proved it."

"For years, Twitter has been accused of having one set of rules for ordinary users and another for world leaders like President Donald Trump. Now, this Twitter account, which copies and reposts Trump’s tweets word for word, is proving the point."

"The account was suspended within three days after it posted the now-infamous Trump tweet warning that “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.” While Trump got a slap on the wrist from Twitter, and his tweet was hidden behind a warning message, @SuspendthePres had their account temporarily locked until they deleted the tweet."

Huge Crowds Around the Globe March in Solidarity Against Police Brutality

"Tens of thousands turned out in Australia, Britain, France, Germany and other nations in support of U.S. protests against the death of George Floyd, while denouncing racism in their own countries."

"From Paris to Berlin — as in demonstrations this past week in Japan, Sweden and Zimbabwe — people around the world once again turned out in solidarity with Americans protesters calling for justice in the death of an African-American man, George Floyd, at the hands of the police in Minneapolis."

"They showed up in circumstances that made it almost impossible to adhere to social distancing regulations. Tens of thousands flowed to Parliament Square in London on Saturday afternoon, shouting anti-racist slogans and carrying signs paying homage to Mr. Floyd, 46, who died after a white police officer held his knee to Mr. Floyd’s neck in Minneapolis on May 25."

California to let schools, gyms, bars reopen next week

https://www.kcra.com/article/california-schools-gyms-bars-reopen-next-week/32784491
"California will allow schools, day camps, bars, gyms, campgrounds and professional sports to begin reopening with modifications starting next Friday."

"The state will release guidance later Friday for counties to follow to reopen a broad range of businesses that have been closed since mid-March because of concerns about spreading the coronavirus, said Mark Ghaly, secretary of the California Health and Human Services agency."

"The state has already allowed most counties to reopen restaurants, hair salons, churches, and retail stores with modifications."

"Ghaly stressed that it's up to counties to determine whether they are ready to reopen based on their ability to manage an expected increase in the number of those testing positive.
But the state is monitoring and preparing for a potential increase in cases due to broader reopening and mass protests across the state against racial injustice."

FBI warned of white supremacists in law enforcement 10 years ago. Has anything changed?

"In the 2006 bulletin, the FBI detailed the threat of white nationalists and skinheads infiltrating police in order to disrupt investigations against fellow members and recruit other supremacists. The bulletin was released during a period of scandal for many law enforcement agencies throughout the country, including a neo-Nazi gang formed by members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department who harassed black and Latino communities. Similar investigations revealed officers and entire agencies with hate group ties in Illinois, Ohio and Texas."

"Much of the bulletin has been redacted, but in it, the FBI identified white supremacists in law enforcement as a concern, because of their access to both "restricted areas vulnerable to sabotage" and elected officials or people who could be seen as "potential targets for violence." The memo also warned of "ghost skins," hate group members who don't overtly display their beliefs in order to "blend into society and covertly advance white supremacist causes."

"At least one white supremacist group has reportedly encouraged ghost skins to seek positions in law enforcement for the capability of alerting skinhead crews of pending investigative action against them," the report read."

Fauci, Virus Task Force Vanish With Trump All-In on Reopen

The task force is now reduced to weekly closed-door meetings with Vice President Mike Pence. Anthony Fauci, the top infectious disease expert in the government, hasn’t spoken publicly at the White House since April 29. In his last task force news conference, a week earlier, he cautioned that the country must “proceed in a very careful, measured way” to reopen.

About BigmanPigman

I am 57, retired teacher and illustrator, life-long dem., activist, union member. Also I do not use social media and I'm technologically retarded. I love dogs, rock music and swearing (a lot). My 17 year old "puppy" died on June 2, 2020. She grew up listening to Animals (Pink Floyd). She has kept me sane through the tRump years, not easy, and has given me endless love, companionship, kisses and tail wags.
