Croney
Croney's JournalIt's a weird thing, a Dylan concert.
Tonight was our third, so we knew pretty much what to expect in the way of music, but the rest of the experience was new.
Our phones had to be locked in little bags. No one stood or danced, and without phones, there was no blocking of the view by people videoing. Nobody talked during the songs, which was very nice.
We were in the sixth row. He sat at the piano and sometimes stood, putting on his hat and taking it off again. I counted 21 songs he did straight through; I recognized three. He spoke his songs, mostly, like Willie Nelson does now. I couldn't understand 80% of what he said, as usual. How can he remember all those thousands of words!
I love Bob Dylan; he is my youth, although he's only three years older than I.
I haven't seen the Halloween is Coming series of posts this year.
I'm sure I just missed the explanation, or the posts. They were delightful.
Ha! I just became an admin of my high school FB page.
The invitation said they don't have an active admin group any more (someone had to invite me though). I immediately deleted and banned the spammers selling fake t-shirts.
Not much activity on the page, it's the Class of 1961 after all. 😜
R.I.P. Kevin Karlson, Boston rock radio host
My husband listens to the Classic Rock Clash every single morning. Kevin was his usual irreverent lovable-blowhard self yesterday morning.
He was a liberal.

Today, on a walk, I found a real wishing tree full of wishes.
Some readable, many old and faded. Hope springs eternal.
I feel guilty enjoying myself with all that's going on, but Adam Lambert
and Queen in Boston tonight are a boon to the soul.
The Frasier reboot is a no for me. Horrible laugh track.
Stilted, awkward dialogue. Gives vibes of a high-school play. Grammer is the only "good" actor and he's got on so much bronzer you'd expect it to start the Rudy-drip.
On this day 45 years ago I had my last baby.
Now she has three teenagers.
Enjoy every day with its ups and downs, because time stops for no one.
Our dog really, really, really tried to tell us something.
Last night after we'd gone to bed she threw a fit, whining and barking nonstop for so long that we let her come upstairs and sleep with us.
This morning we found two mice who'd been trying all night to escape a 5-gallon bucket in the kitchen where the dog sleeps.
I hope we pay attention next time or a burglar could wipe us out.
We had Aerosmith tickets for New Year's Eve.
Hoping Steven Tyler recovers well. We will hold onto our tickets for 2024.
Now we'll probably just stay home like we usually do.
