Ok Steeler's fans, what is this?

I found a Polamalu dog tag the other day when I took trash to our dumpster. It was in a box full of collector plates. The only info I've been able to find is at the link below. I don't know who made it, where it came from, or if it's worth anything. Anyone know of the origins of this?

Ohio sheriff says he fired 2 deputies over racial texts

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -An Ohio sheriff says he has fired two white veteran deputies accused of exchanging racially charged text messages.

Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer said he fired Detective Mike Sollenberger and Capt. Tom Flanders.

They had been on administrative leave during an investigation into accusations of inappropriate text conversations on personal cellphones that included racial slurs and comments directed at two black deputies. The sheriff's investigation also cited texts with comments about hanging or beating up black people and Sollenberger allegedly referring to President Barack Obama as "a half-breed." Obama's mother was white.
Three other deputies received suspensions ranging from three to 30 days.

Currency manipulation could kill Obama's big free trade deal

There weren’t many lines in President Obama’s State of the Union that Republicans applauded. But the GOP did get behind the President’s insistence that Congress countenance an expedited approval process for a free trade deal—called the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)—his administration is negotiating with 12 other Pacific Ocean nations, including Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

The TPP was supposed to be the one issue that the President and Congressional Republicans could agree upon, but the odds don’t look so great anymore. In recent weeks, Senate Republicans have expressed reservations about the deal, specifically its failure to address concerns that American trade partners are manipulating their currencies to boost exports.

In a paper released Wednesday by the Economic Policy Institute, economist Robert E. Scott quantified these concerns, estimating that the U.S. economy has lost hundreds of thousands of jobs to countries like Mexico and South Korea because free trade agreements with those nations did not include provisions that prevented currency manipulation. Of the nations participating in the TPP negotiations, Japan is by far America’s biggest trading partner. And according to Scott’s analysis, the U.S. trade deficit with Japan has cost America $125.3 billion in GDP and “displaced 896,600 U.S. jobs” in 2013 alone.

My Daughter's First Grade Homework.

This is the math problem:

Bella had 15 valentines to give to the class. She gave 7 of the valentines to the girls in the class. The rest she gave to the boys in the class. How many valentines did Bella give to the boys? SOLVE THE PROBLEM. SHOW YOUR WORK.

So I helped her with this problem and this is how we answered and showed her work.

15-7=8

The teacher graded it and marked this answer as wrong. The teacher said if the answer isn't shown in "circles", it doesn't count. WTF? The paper said nothing about drawing circles but this is what is expected? I'm a little upset about this.

Btw, this is the official answer according to the teacher:
⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️

Fuck Rand Paul!

I'm not sure if there's a thread on this article already so I apologize in advance if this is a repost.

Democrats hit Rand Paul for disability comments

Washington (CNN)Democrats blasted Sen. Rand Paul on Wednesday for arguing that a majority of people collecting Social Security disability benefits are taking advantage of the system.

Speaking at a New Hampshire diner about government waste, the Kentucky Republican said "there's always somebody who's deserving" of entitlement programs, "But everybody in this room knows somebody who's gaming the system."

"What I tell people is, if you look like me and you hop out of your truck, you shouldn't be getting a disability check. Over half of the people on disability are either anxious or their back hurts -- join the club," he said, drawing a few laughs from the audience. "Who doesn't get a little anxious for work everyday and their back hurts? Everybody over 40 has back pain."

So in one sentence, this asshole declares that anyone who "looks normal" is not disabled.

You want to talk about real anxiety Mr. Paul? How about how I wake at night and shake my child awake because I think she has died! Or how about holding my son in my arms as he stairs at me and takes his final breaths! Shall we even talk about the seven different meds I take for anxiety, depression, and PTSD?

Fuck you, you generalizing ignorant son of a bitch!

Something to ponder.....

I just received my first disability denial letter

I was hoping for an approval but knew the odds were against me. I contacted a law firm yesterday and they are taking the case. The bad part is they get 25% of any back pay. It just seems that the system is designed to make you give up. After looking around online last night, I found these statistics about social security applications. It makes me wonder what the real purpose is to have people in the lower levels decide anything. It seems they deny deny deny and finally a judge has to step in to make the real decision.

ACA Question

I have a question to anyone with experience or knowledge about the ACA. My wife and I found out last week that we're expecting a baby. Of course I'm digging in and trying to plan for everything ahead of time. Today's question is about breast pumps. While researching our options online, I stumbled across this on the ACA website:

Coverage of breast pumps

Your health insurance plan must cover the cost of a breast pump – and may offer to cover either a rental or a new one for you to keep.

Your plan may have guidelines on whether the covered pump is manual or electric, how long the coverage of a rented pump lasts, and when they’ll provide the pump (before or after you have the baby).

But it’s up to you and your doctor to decide what's right for you.

We live in Ohio and our current insurance is Caresource. Is Caresource required to follow the above provision in the ACA? Will Caresource cover the cost of a breast pump or will this have to be an out of pocket expense? Thanks!
