Is Canada hiring American cops?

My future son-in-law was walking home two nights ago when he was attacked, cuffed and taken in by a Toronto police officer because he had on a red shirt and they were looking for someone wearing a red shirt. Even if he was the guy they were looking for, there was no reason to beat him up. At the station, they realized they had the wrong guy. The arresting officer wanted to charge him with resisting arrest, presumably to cover up his actions, but his superior officer told him to let him go. If he had resisted arrest, the cop would have been seriously injured by this former captain of his school's rugby team with multiple black belts. I've never felt so helpless. His head was bloody and he is bruised all over. He is missing work and so not getting paid. The photos my daughter sent me are horrible. I can't convince him to even go to the doctor so I guess filing a complaint is out of the question. He is so shaken up I figure he just wants to forget it. The world is a scary place when the people who are supposed to protect you, attack you instead.

GMOs are as good as vaccines.

Both the National Geographic magazine and Bill Nye, the science guy, have recently stated that people who are against GMOs are as crazy as people who are against vaccines. Really?
