59-year-old Tennessee State Rep. Bill Sanderson reportedly hit on men 40 years younger than him despite being married to a woman and repeatedly voting for anti-LGBTQ legislation.

Cari Wade Gervin — a longtime political reporter who covers Tennessee news, politics and gossip site The Dog and Pony Show — has accused 59-year-old Tennessee state Rep. Bill Sanderson of “openly soliciting sex” and sending “sexually explicit messages and pictures to men almost 40 years his junior” while voting repeatedly in favor of anti-LGBTQ legislation.

Sanderson resigned today. He says he’s resigning to run his business, White Squirrel Winery, but Gervin claims that his resignation was partly in response to the revealing of his same-sex encounters.

In January 2014, the gossip blog The Dirty published messages Sanderson allegedly sent to an unnamed male Vanderbilt student in which Sanderson writes that he is a “state rep” representing Obion, Lake and Dyer Counties, his actual district.

But while Grindr messages are easily faked, Gervin writes:

“The Grindr and text messages I have seen do appear to be authentic. They use Sanderson’s real cell phone number. Sources confirm having been told about the messages at the time by their friends who received them. And one man I interviewed said he met Sanderson at his farm in Kenton.”..............................

Rep. Ted Lieu: Only Mueller Hearing Conclusion is the Trump Committed Multiple Felonies

Source: mediaite.com

Jul 24th, 2019, 8:40 pm

Rep. Ted Lieu said that that the American public can only reach one conclusion after hearing Robert Mueller‘s testimony in front of Congress on Wednesday.

That conclusion, he said, is that Trump “was not exonerated” and committed “multiple felonies.”

Speaking with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on the same day as Mueller’s hearing wrapped up, Cooper started off by asking the Congressman about Mueller performance.

“Did it surprise you and do you think it muted what Democrats hoped the impact of this would be?” Cooper asked.

Lieu responded by noting Mueller “answered yes and true to a number of devastating facts.”............................

It will be Boris Johnson’s job to help tackle the climate emergency that’s dangerously heating our planet and threatening the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world

We’ve delivered our message, but will he act? (Photo: Twitter/Greenpeace)

If you tuned in to see Boris Johnson become our latest Prime Minister, you might have seen that we interrupted him on his way to see the Queen. Because if there’s one thing that worth delaying matters of state over, it’s the climate emergency we’re in. Now it’s Boris Johnson’s job to steer us to climate safety.

In the peak of our latest heatwave—the second to hit the UK in two months—we just saw Boris Johnson officially become our latest Prime Minister. We can see clearer than ever that our climate is breaking down.

It will be Boris Johnson’s job to help tackle the climate emergency that’s dangerously heating our planet and threatening the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. What happens next will be on his watch.

But this is a man whose campaign has been partly funded by a climate denier, who seems to care little about people beyond our borders (and sometimes within), and whose personal ambition seems to take priority.

His job right now is crucial. We’ve delivered our message, but will he act?

What exactly does Boris Johnson need to do?

Trump vetoes resolutions from Congress attempting to block arms sales to Saudi Arabia

Source: businessInsider/AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has vetoed a trio of resolutions trying to block his administration from selling billions of dollars in weapons and maintenance support to Saudi Arabia.

Trump, who has sought to forge closer ties with Riyadh, had pledged to veto the resolutions of disapproval that passed the House and Senate last week.

The votes came against the backdrop of heightened US tensions with Iran.

The White House had argued that stopping the sale would send a signal that the United States doesn't stand by its partners and allies, particularly at a time when threats against them are increasing. .....................................................

Trump Must Face Suit Over Alleged Multilevel Marketing Fraud

Victims claim losses of hundreds of thousands of dollars each
Plaintiffs sued using pseudonyms, citing Trump’s Twitter habit

President Donald Trump, his company and three of his children must face a class-action lawsuit in which people claim they were scammed into spending money on fraudulent, multilevel marketing ventures and a dubious live-seminar program.

U.S. District Judge Lorna Schofield in Manhattan ruled Wednesday that the case can go forward with claims of fraud, unfair competition, and deceptive trade practices. The decision likely opens the door for the plaintiffs to start gathering evidence from Trump and his company, including documents and testimony.

Schofield also dismissed federal racketeering claims, eliminating allegations that could have netted triple damages for the plaintiffs.

A group of four people claims the Trumps ripped off thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs by promoting two bogus multilevel marketing ventures and the live-seminar program that promised to teach Trump’s “secrets to success” in real estate. They’re seeking to sue on behalf of a nationwide class of people they claim were also cheated...............................
