The war on democracy -- bigger than election 2020
There's another thread citing Bill Kristol's tweet about Trump's strategy being tied to voter suppression, executive privilege, foreign interference.....etc.
So then, why are we focusing on getting out the vote? It didn't it work in 2016 when Clinton got the popular count, but Trump got the white house.
Shouldn't we be focusing instead on the other factors working in Trump's favor?
How can we combat executive privilege and foreign interference? How can we reverse or stall McConnell's abetment to the forces that diminish and destroy our democracy?
Voting blue is great. But it's not enough I fear.

He's a friend of mine. John wrote this on Facebook and it's worth a read. He's a white guy, not that it matters.
Hearing a lot of "Karens" complaining about the hijacking of their name for slang. As a "John," I am not empathetic:
- One that solicits a prostitute is called a "John."
- The place in which humans relieve themselves, "The John."
- Even better, if the potty is portable, it's a "Port a John!"
- Writing a letter to tell your boyfriend you found a new guy while he's off at war, send a "Dear John" letter!
- The crappiest & cheapest boat one can own; a "John Boat."

Trump World: Ohio
On our drive to visit a relative who lives in rural-ish Ohio (it's about 1 hour out from Columbus), Trump yard signs stood front of one house after another. I see flagpoles with Trump flags (if you live in the midwest you know people put flag poles in their front yards -- odd midwest quirk, I guess). These people probably never read newspapers. They have no fucking clue how screwed they are.

John Bolton's book is DOA
Am I the only one cheering it's inevitable demise?
He put it off to maximize impact. And now, he's missed his window. LOL.
Maybe karma will pay a visit. I can see it now.... "Bolton Book Published Posthumously" with a lead that reads, "Two years after he disbanded the pandemic response team that could have spared hundreds of thousands of American lives including his own, John Bolton was laid to rest."
