I have become convinced that Eugene Jones is not HopeHoops.
.

And no... he hasn't been in touch with me privately, but I DO see things in him that
HopeHoops would just not be able to do convincingly.
.
And I think what's happened is that ONE demagogue just KNEW, through the powers
of his/her omniscience, just KNEW that Eugene Jones WAS HopeHoops and used
the techniques of moral panic/demagoguery to convince others that he/she WAS
HopeHoops, and others saw this and, just as in many mobs, also just KNEW that he
was HopeHoops. And THEY convinced yet others and so on... and so on... and so on...
.
I THINK I'm seeing some of the haters putting up a safety net. "Well, maybe... just
MAYBE Eugene Jones is not HopeHoops, but dammit I can tell he/she is someone we
SHOULD hate."
.
Thus (THAT logic goes), IF he/she was once on DU and we hated him/her, there is
absolutely NO room in our hearts for forgiveness, for recognition that people can
change, that there is ANY such thing as (hah) rehabilitation and being allowed to
rejoin society as a now-useful member.

Simply a transferral of the hatred and their lives can go on.

Two things have re-inspired... re-energized me.

The kindness, gentleness and love for all generated both by and for the persona on
this site known as SalmonChanteEvening.

And the fact that there are so many haters, seemingly COMPULSIVE haters seemingly
UNABLE to stop the hatred/hatred/hatred that they have been spewing as of late --
and the fact that as much as possible needs to be done to try to balance that.

Almost all of us find it difficult to keep from dipping into the Dark Side... but some of us
seem to enjoy wallowing in it.
