Suji to Seoul's JournalAllen West: President Obama Wants Americans To 'Be His Slave'
Source: AOL News
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) can't seem to stay out of the spotlight, for better or for worse.
During a Sunday rally with constituents in a newly drawn district he wants to represent, West accused President Barack Obama of wanting to enslave the American public.
"He does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning, and having that title of American," West said, according to a WPTV report. "He'd rather you be his slave."
West is running against Martin County Sheriff Bob Crowder in the Republican primary, set for Aug. 14. The WPTV report quotes Crowder saying he is "offended" by the things that come out of West's mouth.

Scoring the Romney running mate choices: Portman the moderate option, Rubio the most conservative
Source: Yahoo News
When choosing a running mate, Mitt Romney will consider many factors: Can this person offer a bump in the polls? Will he or she excite the base? Could this person take the reins if necessary? Will we get along?
He will also weigh each candidate's ideological moorings. Let's take a look at where the candidates stand based on their voting records in public office.
For the answer, we dive into the informativealbeit imperfectworld of congressional scorecards. Advocacy groups and news outlets commonly rate lawmakers based on some standard relevant to the organization, which helps us determine where each contender falls on the ideological spectrum.
In the Senate, Rob Portman of Ohio, Marco Rubio of Florida, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire and John Thune of South Dakota commonly appear on lists of possible running mates. Scorecards that measured voting records in 2011 suggest that among these, Rubio had the most conservative voting record and Portman the most moderate. Ayotte and Thune came in somewhere in between.

facebook stupid: I went to school at this HS where this idiot was educated (my response)
I went to HS in the biggest wart of a small town in Upstate New York. Just the worst place you could imagine. Narrow-minded, bigotry, uneducated, ignorant, selfish and proud of it. Especially the old time, big name families.
Anyway, one of these putzs posts a picture on facebook. It's a small blurb of an article that basically says the following:
The Food Stamp program is proud of giving out more food stamps and free meals than ever before, however the US Park Service warns people not to feed the animals because if you give the animals a free handout, they will become dependent on it and will stop looking for food themselves. The article ends "this ends today's lesson."
Equating people with animals is a large logical leap, but I decided to respond:
"Next time I see an unemployed, homeless deer on the street, I'll yell at it to get a job."

jury system abuses
i've been asked to be on many juries here. four out of five times, the alerts are such crap ladened idiocy they do not warrant a second's thought to be denied.
Can those who are in charge of this lay out, explicitly what should and should not be flagged? Just because someone writes something you disagree with does not mean you alert it. you can ignore it.
