With November 2022 looming, it's time to do as Democrats the one sole thing Republicans do well - capitalize on vulnerabilities of the opponent. Kevin McCarthy is in place to be the next House speaker if Republicans take control of Congress and his cache of faults is ripe for exploiting. The only reason McCarthy flies below the radar is because we have not treated him to the assault he deserves. The time to position Kevin McCarthy as a Republican lightning rod is long overdue. Goppers went after Nancy Pelosi long before she became Speaker of the House. While they could not keep her from ascending, they turned one of the most successful SOTH into a so-called polarizing figure through relentless propaganda campaigns. It's time to do the same to Kevin McCarthy.
Like former gopper House speaker Paul Ryan, McCarthy is an anti-government zealot who has relied on a government paycheck throughout his adult career. Before his useless loafing on the government dole, McCarthy was a FAILED DELI MANAGER who COULDN'T HACK IT IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR. His FAILURE IN BUSINESS explains the FAILED REPUBLICAN POLICIES he has supported. His tax cuts for the rich and corporate giveaways have done nothing for American families. McCarthy TRIED TO KILL THE BIPARTISAN INFRASTRUCTURE BILL and therefore TRIED TO KILL AMERICAN JOBS.
McCarthy has enabled anti-vaccine sentiment WHICH HAS ONLY LED TO THE SPREAD OF COVID. In a country where the majority of citizens are vaccinated, McCarthy is way out of step from where the rest of the country is. Kevin McCarthy in any U.S. leadership position is A THREAT TO THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF AVERAGE AMERICANS.
As the head of a hostile and impulsive caucus, McCarthy has spent his efforts providing aid and comfort to white nationalists and violent insurrectionists within his party. In his quest for more power, McCarthy is conspiring with Donald Trump who as president used McCarthy's support to bring the United States to its lowest point since the Civil War. TO SHARE KEVIN MCCARTHY'S VIEW OF AMERICA YOU HAVE TO LOOK BACKWARDS.
MCCARTHY HAS NO LAW OR POLICY HE CAN TAKE CREDIT FOR. His only expertise is in trying to legitimize the failure of Trumpism. He is not intelligent. He is not adept. He is not capable. He is not trustworthy. He is not bipartisan. He is not for the middle class. He has no agriculture policy. He has not education policy. He has no foreign policy. He has no energy policy. HE IS A FAILED DELI MANAGER OUT OF HIS DEPTH.
This and more is what needs to be said again and again and again. The idea is to weaken gopper positioning by putting them on defense, just as goppers do so well. And as for the "where's the data" crowd, you can sit out this campaign. This isn't about data. It's about winning hearts and minds. You don't win hearts and minds with data. You do it by throwing everything at the wall. In this case, "wall" is a perfect analogy for McCarthy.

You just lost me dude. One step forward, ten steps back. Every example he gave was specifically of the aberrant behavior in which Republicans/white nationalists/conservo-terrorists have felt emboldened to engage. He can't talk about getting to the root of the problem by denying the problem has a root. This guy is rudderless.

I haven't heard a single Democrat make the association with gopper refusal to raise the debt limit with their past shutdown fetish.
All I've heard is that Republicans hope Democrats will be blamed for consequences of not raising the debt limit.

Donald Trump Sues New York Times and His Niece Over Tax Story

Former President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against The New York Times, three of its reporters, and his niece—claiming they hatched an “insidious plot” to obtain his private records for a story about his tax history.
“I think he is a fucking loser, and he is going to throw anything against the wall he can,” said Mary Trump of her uncle’s new suit. “It’s desperation. The walls are closing in and he is throwing anything against the wall that will stick. As is always the case with Donald, he’ll try and change the subject.”
The Times did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the suit.

Why goppers say government isn't the answer...
... Because goppers are incapable at at running anything for the overall benefit of the people government is supposed to work for. Goppers have an antagonistic view of government because they fail when they are charged with leading it. They hate Democrats because Democrats are reputed for cleaning up gopper failure. This humiliation fuels their desire to win at any cost. So they lie and make vile racial appeals to the fear of sheltered Whites. That's the ONLY thing goppers do well at. And it still works.
I Wish Pelosi Could be Speaker Forever!
I can respect the fact that people have differing opinions of her. What I don't respect is the spineless moderates who have opposed her out of fear that the Gross Offensive Pigs will use her as an lightning rod. Any powerful person who takes a side will be used as a lightning rod in spite of their gender, but it makes me puke how when progressive women are used as lightning rods, so-called progressives and liberals (men and women) run for cover instead of standing up for them regardless of how extraordinary they may be.
Nancy Pelosi is probably the most successful House speaker in modern history. She will never have to apologize for any of her decisions. She will never suddenly resign because her caucus has become unmanageable. She will not spend her retirement in prison. I only hope the next Democratic leader in the House has a fraction of her discipline.

Gym Jordan Seated on GOP Terror Probe? Win-Win!
One of many downfalls of the goppers is their inability to know their limits. Tonight, there is sure to be a cheer or two from MAGA Hat Nation with the appointment of Gym Jordan to the select committee charged with investigating the gopper siege on the capitol on January 6. They know that a semi-suited Jordan will dress down a bunch of liberal witnesses called to make Trump look bad with his Rand Paulian perspective distortions and injections of Fox News talking points. At least that's how they see it. What they don't realize is how ugly that kind of crap plays to everyone else who happens NOT to live on Planet Idiot. Every time Jordan mentions Black Lives Matter or Antifa, it will give a member of the majority a chance to remind him that the January 6 Parade of Filth arrived at the capitol from a MAGA rally and not a BLM protest. Gym can very possibly inspire sympathy for Black Lives Matter by failing to get anywhere with his attempts to smear them.
Further, the list of witnesses to be called are bound to be credible and respectable figures here in this galaxy. If you saw the fail of Matt "Indict Me" Gaetz trying give General Mark Milley the Fox News treatment in a lesser House hearing recently, multiply that times the number of witnesses in this terror inquiry. The math is not good for the White Nationalist Caucus.
Their problem is their sclerotic strategy of dominate, humiliate, distort. The problem is the attack to which Jordan was a party was an attack against the very Establishment a great number of people respect. Will it endear goppers to white suburban women when Gymmy shouts down uniformed police who were under attack on 1/6? The answer is no, but he'll give it his best shot. He's essentially there to serve as the attorney to the guy who is having trouble selling out his red state talking tour with Bill O'Reilly. Good luck to him.
With so much bleak news threatening the sky on the horizon with gopper attacks on the Democratic voting process, normal people will have to hope Team Trump pins themselves to the mat as many times as possible. Placing jordan on the 1/6 select committee promises to be just that.
What a Guru Would Tell Democrats on How to Use Power
1. Stop referring to your majority as "slim."
2. Give yourself a week to find bipartisanship on any issue. After that, you're just being trapped into running out the clock.
3. Keep traitors on defense. Call Kevin McCarthy a "Failed Deli Manager." Call the Insurrection "The Republican Insurrection," etc.
4. Resist criticizing members of your own caucus, regardless of how much they irk you (Joe Sinema).
5. Stop letting opportunities to capitalize slide by.
6. Don't let six-plus months go by before investigating an attempted coup.
7. Your opposition is a dwindling sliver of Americans. Republicans can't win the popular vote. Act like it.
8. Act like you WILL expand your majorities in Congress.
9. Keep showing suburban white women pictures of capitol terrorists in Lansing and D.C.
10. Repeat the narrative you want to hear voters repeat. That narrative should declare Democrats as the only legitimate party in existence.
