FELONY: 'It is a crime!' Fox's Shep Smith shames Trump for welcoming foreign interference in 2020

SHEP SMITH: "So what the president said he would do, to George Stephanopolous, if he did it, would be felonious?"

ANDREW NAPOLITANO: "Correct, meaning he would be committing a felony and the person giving it to him ... would be committing a felony as well."

“It is interference,” Smith said, describing what Trump was advocating. “And a candidate accepting anything of value from a foreign entity is a crime.”

Smith then noted that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he believed that the president made a “mistake” in welcoming foreign interference in American elections, but Smith wasn’t buying that excuse.

“The president has made similar comments before and he’s doubled down today,” Smith said. “During the 2016 campaign, he said he hoped Russia would find Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails, and he praised WikiLeaks for publishing stolen DNC documents.”

Fox cuts away from Trump babbling about farmers not being able to connect tractors to the internet

While President Donald Trump was speaking at an event in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Tuesday, his speech veered off the rails, culminating in him complaining about how farmers couldn’t hook their tractors up to the internet.

“We secured nearly $1.2 billion to expand rural broadband, which you need very badly. You need very badly,” said Trump. “They have not treated the Midwest well with broadband, with anything having to do with the word computer. I look at some of those tractors and they don’t even hook up. They’re all set. But you don’t have the capability in terms of your infrastructure—”

“All right, we’re going to talk with your panel about a lot of what the president’s been saying,” cut in an anchor, quickly turning off the audio feed from Trump’s speech.

Modern tractors typically do have internet connectivity, which helps farmers keep track of everything from weather conditions to the total size of their yield.

Trump Administration to Hold Migrant Children at Base That Served as WWII Japanese Internment Camp

CONCENTRATION CAMPS - HOW LOW CAN WE GO?

The Trump Administration has opted to use an Army base in Oklahoma to hold growing numbers of immigrant children in its custody after running out of room at government shelters.

Fort Sill, an 150-year-old installation once used as an internment camp for Japanese-Americans during World War II, has been selected to detain 1,400 children until they can be given to an adult relative, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The agency said Fort Sill will be used “as a temporary emergency influx shelter” to help ease the burden on the government as it prepares to house a record number of minors even though it already operates about 168 facilities and programs in 23 states.

Health and Human Services said in a statement that it has taken about 40,900 children into custody through April 30. That’s a 57% increase from last year, which is a rate on-pace to surpass the record figures in 2016, when 59,171 minors were taken into custody. The agency had assessed two other military bases before selecting Fort Sill.

Fort Sill, located southwest of Oklahoma City, was one of several internment camps where Japanese-Americans were held during World War II. Between 1942 and 1946, the U.S. government forcibly removed an estimated 120,000 men, women and children from their homes and incarcerated them across the country. Fort Sill was later used to hold German prisoners of war.
