During a segment that was focused on Hillary hoping to shatter Trumps populist appeal, CNN chose to use Twitter to try to prove how popular Trump has been, so they featured one of his tweets explaining one of his recent rallies:

Lobbyist says he can help GOP Rep raise enough $ to get on Ways & Means committee:
Massie, a Republican who represents Northern Kentucky, said he was approached by a lobbyist who told him he could help the congressman raise enough money to get on the Ways and Means Committee. That's a powerful committe which oversees tax policy and is one of the most coveted panels in Congress. Massie declined to name the lobbyist but said he represents the medical device sector.
He pulled me and my chief of staff into a meeting, Massie told The Enquirer. He offered to raise the money that would be required to get me on Ways and Means. This is a lobbyist telling me he can get me on Ways and Means.
The unstated implication, Massie said, was that if the lobbyist succeeded in helping Massie get a seat on that panel, the congressman would return the favor with legislative goodies.
It was one of the scummiest meetings Ive ever been in, Massie said. I left just reeling, thinking about the implications for how this place works, when you realize that the lobbyists pick who goes on which committee.

...............
He loves his own act. He cant get enough of himself. And he loves that other people love the act too. He loves the laughter and applause because they confirm him in his own high self-regard. So he cant resist playing to his audience, repeating the same jokes and patter over and over in order to elicit the same laughter and applause. The only way he can bring himself to vary the act is by trying to top himself. He has to take things further and farther, piling up the laughs, getting the crowd roaring, bringing down the house. But in the end all hes doing is repeating the same tried and true shtick to an audience whos already proved they cant get enough of the same old same old.. And hes happy with that. Hes glad to stop there. He doesnt take the risks necessary to winning over new fans. All he dares do is try to make his current fans laugh longer and clap louder.
This means hes limiting his appeal to people who are already committed to voting for him and to other Republicans who are coming around because, after all, thats all he is in political reality---just another Republican.
Many people getting a kick out of how Elizabeth Warrens been needling him on Twitter think shes doing a good job of getting under his skin. Im not so sure. And Im not sure getting under his skin is the object. From what Ive seen of their exchanges, I think what shes been doing is goading him into repeating himself. He thinks hes getting the better of her. His fans agree. Theyre laughing and clapping and cheering and crying for more. And hes giving it to them. He cant help himself.
This means he cant make the presidential pivot.

Trump adviser: Trump wants a white male vice president to do all the presidenting he won't do
The vice presidential pick will also be part of the process of proving hes ready for the White House, Manafort said.
He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesnt want to do. He seems himself more as the chairman of the board, than even the CEO, let alone the COO.
There is a long list of who that person could be, Manafort added, and every one of them has major problems.
The campaign probably wont choose a woman or a member of a minority group, he said. In fact, that would be viewed as pandering, I think.

DOCs SHOW: Conservative hero ’American Sniper’ Chris Kyle grossly exaggerated his military record
AMERICAN SNIPER CHRIS KYLE DISTORTED HIS MILITARY RECORD, DOCUMENTS SHOW
NO AMERICAN HAS been more associated with the Navy SEAL mystique than Chris Kyle, known as the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history. His bestselling autobiography, American Sniper a story of honor, glory, and quiet heroism has sold more than a million copies. The movie adaptation became the highest-grossing war film in American history.
All told, Kyle wrote in his book, I would end my career as a SEAL with two Silver Stars and five Bronze (Stars], all for valor.
But Kyle, who was murdered by a fellow military veteran several years after leaving the Navy, embellished his military record, according to internal Navy documents obtained by The Intercept. During his 10 years of military service and four deployments, Kyle earned one Silver Star and three Bronze Stars with Valor, a record confirmed by Navy officials.
Kyle was warned at least once before American Sniper was published that its description of his medal count was wrong, according to one current Navy officer, who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak about the case. As Kyles American Sniper manuscript was distributed among SEALs, one of his former commanders, who was still on active duty, advised Kyle that his claim of having two Silver Stars was false, and he should correct it before his book was published.
Current and former Navy SEALs interviewed for this article, who agreed to speak on background because they feared being shunned by their close-knit community, did not dispute Kyles heroism in combat, but saw the inflation of his medal count as significant because they consider battlefield embellishments to be dishonorable.

What is Mass Incarceration?
An overview of how the U.S. government locked millions of people in cages to be forgotten.
Over the past 30 years, the U.S. has put in place radical, unprecedented policies and practices that attempted to address crime through prioritizing harsh and disproportionate punishment, rather than prevention or rehabilitation. By 2010, 7.25 million Americans were under some form of correctional control ¹ either in prison or jail, or on probation or parole up from 1.84 million in 1980.²
The term mass incarceration refers to the unique way the U.S. has locked up a vast population in federal and state prisons, as well as local jails.
...............
How did this happen?
The tough on crime punishment philosophy of the 1980's and 90's, combined with a heinous War on Drugs, led to legislation under Republican and Democratic administrations that used a jail cell as a first, rather than last, resort for people who broke the law.
This uncompromising posture, which often exploited racial fear, became an essential part of running a political campaign. For years, elected officials competed with one another on how brutally they would be willing to punish people who broke the law, especially regarding drug-code violations. Legislators enacted policies that led to more people being locked away for increasingly smaller offenses, and combined them with further policies that kept people locked up longer.
The prison population skyrocketed.
