Simple ways to handle the heat without air conditioning
I can't tolerate strong sunlight, so i am indoors from 10 Am to at least 3 or 4PM.
I had real problems in the heat yesterday because I don't sweat - at all!
Today i remembered one quick fix - a damp bandanna rolled up and tied around my neck.

Hang up the phone and shop!
I can't go shopping now without having to ease myself past people blocking the aisles with phones to their ears querying whether they should buy red leaf lettuce or green leaf lettuce, sausage patties or links, brown eggs or white. What did these people do before cell phones, starve to death trying to decide what to buy?
And - let's have a special shout out for the people with the phone to their ear at the checkout lines and service counters!
