calimary's JournalThat's not a bad ticket. I'm leaning toward that, myself.
Looks like Biden, for his appeal to the working man, and Harris (or Warren) as running mate , to give us women what we longed for, achieved legitimately, and had stolen from us in 2016.
We may have to get a foot in the door with a woman Vice President first, so the rest of the nation can ease into the idea. It would help our fellow voters get used to the idea of a realistic female running mate, even if its not the BIG prize. At least not yet.
Hey, personally, Id rather have a woman as chief executive, flat-out, accept-no-substitutes, right NOW. Were into Year Three of President Hillary Clinton, as far as Im concerned, because I regard her as the rightful and legitimate winner in 2016, and she (and all the rest of us) have been robbed by the Orange Cheater and his Merry Band of Russians. But if we have to go through second-in-command first, in order to position ourselves for the topy prize, then so be it. And if thats what it takes to get this poor morally faltering country more comfortable or at least neutral toward a woman Commander-in-Chief, then okay. Make it so. Ill gladly take it. I just want us to get there. Weve knocked down the barriers to an African-American President. Now we have to clear the hurdles in the way of a woman President. And those blocking a gay President. And eventually a Latino/Latina, a President from the indigenous community that was here before anybody else arrived, and other embodiments of our melting pot status.
Seems to me it might be a shrewd way to help America to get comfy with the idea of a woman on the ticket.
Really lovely, tasteful, and elegant as can be.
THIS is what makes me feel proud.
I want this back.
All the money and gold lacquer in the world won't buy you class, donald.
I bet trump would love to start a war. To muzzle his critics,
tweet 900 times a day about how that means we ALL have to stop investigating him and asking all these bothersome questions. He could play the victim even while demanding to be literally the Bully of the World.
I keep thinking that IS one of the options.
I think if he think the heats really on, hes gonna try to sneak outta town under cover of darkness some night. Probably more like in an unmarked limo or some such. Out the kitchen staffs entrance with the hallway and outside lights briefly shorted out or something.
There have gotta be lots of eyes on that whole compound at all times.
"...a democrat president..." Sorry - that just jumped out at me.
May I respectfully offer - that particular political-context usage is incorrect. And often a tip-off. Im kinda compulsive about little details like that, which just automatically flash red lights at me. It has frequently been a giveaway that the user is not what he/she appears to be.
Always better to say Democratic President. Adjective (or modifier). Not a noun.
This is your fussy old schoolmarm speaking...
Yeah! Looks like something from Johnny Was.
I like the way she dresses. She wore things during the campaign that I could easily imagine myself wearing to some professional happening. I noticed she dresses strategically - with colors and cuts and styles that deemphasize figure issues like fuller hips.
Every debate she had on something really flattering. I dont know where she got the A-line dark suit with the one fastener at the neck, and a white top underneath. Class and simplicity. Elegant, plain, understated, and professional. Oh MAN was that a great outfit. She looked like a million bucks.
She looked like a head of state.
Same here. Not in a position to cue the audio at the moment.
But when I can, you bet I will!
I could use some inspiration too.
Sigh... I MISS them! SO much!
I miss those days when we could look at our First Family with admiration and respect.
