About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

Agreed!

For the life of me I can't understand why the party houses and the big crowded indoor gatherings.

Do you really wanna get sick and maybe die? 'Cause that HAPPENS! Just ask Herman Cain!

Oh wait...

OUCH!!! Man, THAT'S for sure!

A VERY thought-provoking piece.

Thanks for posting this, Heartstrings. It's good for everybody's awareness expansion.

Oh certainly yes. It's an oldie but goodie.

But I've never heard it applied, in public, to the republi-CONS. Especially by a high-profile Dem. Sounds like Nancy knows she's got the upper hand, to be that blunt in a public statement.

"Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn," Pelosi replied.

We should ALL borrow that phrase! And USE it!

And repeat it. MULTIPLE TIMES!!!

WHENEVER you're talking to someone who votes GOP or makes excuses for the GOP in conversation.

“Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.”

"Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn." That's freakin' GORGEOUS!!!!!

Oh Madam Speaker!

You sure do speak for me!

Yep. Absolutely and totally. I don't want to hear a single "we need to move on..."

or "this is no time to look back. Let's move FORWARD!"

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!

We CANNOT move forward if we have not sought justice for some EPIC crimes and scandals and corruption, the likes of which we have never seen before in American history.

Boo-fucking-hoo.

One of our favorite sayings around our house is - "YOU crawled into bed with him. Now he gets to fuck you."

I feel sorry for these short-sighted schmucks NOT ONE MOLECULE'S WORTH.

I was gonna put an asterisk on a couple of these, because I'm now watching for the next upward "milestone," but here, I'm watching all four datapoints.

Confirmed cases worldwide - when does that flip over to 19-million - and worse, 20-million?
Deaths worldwide - when does that one flip over to 709-thousand - and worse, 720-thousand?
Confirmed cases US - when does that one flip over to 4.9-million - and worse, FIVE million?
Deaths US - when does that one flip over to 160-thousand deaths?

The numbers of confirmed cases are the ones that increase faster. The death toll moves more slowly. Small comfort.
