Well, the Supreme Court is certainly almost over. As of this morning, anyway.

Thanks a heap, Anthony Kennedy. You couldn't have held out for even one more year? Shirking your patriotic duty again, 'eh? Distinguished member of the IGMFU Club ("I Got Mine, F-U" ).

And in a truly democratic way (small "d" - for its root word "democracy")

The restaurant owner asked her employees what they thought, and asked them to VOTE on it. THEY decided this. She wisely carried out their wishes, as a responsible - and RESPONSIVE - owner would.

Gee - asking them to VOTE on it. What a concept. Whoever heard of such a thing?

Welcome to DU, keepFocused06.

I hope someone alerted on that. Doesn't Facebook have any recourse?

Just give him time. He'll find something inciteful to say about Pelosi.

Only a matter of time before one of his wannabe Dumbfuckistani goons will try some stunt against her. I fear for the safety of all our brothers and sisters on this side of the aisle. Considering the tendencies we've seen from the other side. THEY'RE the ones who'll take up arms like that idiot who was so sure about the lies that Hillary was running some child molestation ring in the basement of that DC pizza joint, and go personally to "check it out for himself" with his favorite pet AR-15. Our side doesn't do that shit. And just for the record, let me add that said pizza joint DIDN'T EVEN HAVE a basement, much less some nefarious child-molestation racket going on anywhere inside.

Our side doesn't do that shit. Our side doesn't load up on personal arsenals to make up for various personal shortcomings. Our side doesn't prance around with said arsenals, threatening and menacing others in public places. Our side doesn't hang on every word Alex Jones vomits forth. Our side doesn't watch Pox Noise loyally and religiously. Our side didn't support trump - and knew better because we'd heard and followed the objective FACTS. OUR side doesn't do that shit.

However, enough folks on our side also threw up their hands and didn't bother to vote, some offering variations of the "both sides no difference..." excuse.

GUYS - THE ONLY WEAPON WE'VE GOT LEFT IS OUR VOTE. (WHILE we still have it, that is. Think I'm joking?)

Two days later and it still feels so empty in that laundry room.

I tell you, niyad, I've redone it for the other two cats and everything's all nice and clean and her pee mats are removed and all cleaned up. And it just seems so empty. I'm hiding here and keeping the BBC channel on. They've been airing a nonstop "Star Trek Voyager" binge. I can't even bear to watch any news. What a bleak week. And it's only Wednesday.

I am BEYOND grateful for this site, and all the loving and compassionate and empathetic souls here. Especially this week. You guys are keeping me going.

No, I was proposing more items for his list - of trump sins.

Dan Rather is an icon, and a personal hero of mine. Glad I could clarify, though.

Man, no shit.

Welcome to DU, karin_sj!

From his closing paragraph -

"These are but a few of the real incivilities that plague our moment in history." A FEW!?!

That's one humdinger of an understatement!

Welcome to DU, OldManTarHeel!

Dan Rather is a national treasure. He has plenty of GOP knife wounds in his back. He's earned our respect the hard way. And here again, he happens to be right.

AND bragging about being so popular that one could literally get away with murder.

Basically behaving as though one were above the law.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
