calimary's JournalTREMENNNNNNNNNDOUSLY satisfying...
What the fuck is going on? Well, expect him to take credit for
The Patriots taking it upon themselves and GM taking it upon itself and getting something done to benefit the greater good and the needs of the needy. Hes already trying to rewrite New York and the state of Washington for dragging their feet and getting too late a start on combating the virus - when its the EXACT opposite - HES the one who dragged HIS feet until way too late. They didnt. Both state governments were on it right away. WHILE the donald made excuses and distractions and denials and assorted rage Tweets.
Hes gotten away with it so far. I suspect this has been a pattern over his entire life. And people let him get away with it, which only emboldens him to do it again, only more and bigger.
The only question remaining at this point is - will he get away with it THIS time? Will he be ALLOWED to get away with it??? Cause by now, its on US.
Maybe long, but it'd be mighty entertaining!
Especially with his brother Chris Cuomo in the VIP stands up where they swear POTUS and VP on inauguration Day! They were genuinely funny together today.
I can just picture it!
You've got me stuck on the horns of the ol' dilemma now.
Now, I find myself envisioning a Biden/Cuomo ticket - even as I long to see a woman VP!

This is also the day that the WORLD-WIDE confirmed coronavirus cases surpass 1 million. And our own domestic confirmed cases are closing in on a quarter million.
Maybe we need at least FOUR election cycles in a row, of Democrats in the White House.
FDR won four terms although he didn't live through the fourth one. But he started on fixing the Great Depression, and by the time he ran for his fourth term, many agencies and services were in place to form what we now know as the "social safety net."
Maybe we need FDR2.0 ?
How ever it happens, this is such a colossal recovery job that we'll have to keep as many republi-CONS securely OUT of office so we'll have enough time to complete work on some serious repairs. They'll just obstruct and interfere and whine "free market!" 'Supply side!" "Trickle-down!" "A rising tide raises all boats!" "Government isn't the solution, it's the problem," "starve the beast," and all that other crap that has NOT panned out the way they assured us it would.

Yeah, no shit.
And no exaggeration, either. People WILL DIE because this deceitful vainglorious putz sat on his ass and refused to recognize a gravely menacing and rapidly growing threat when it was staring him in the face. His default position on anything is always "it's a hoax." FUCKER. This ain't no hoax, you fucking jackass!
I'm with Steve Rattner, the former Treasury Department official, who was interviewed earlier today, and was asked what he'd ask trump in view of all this. He said "I'd ask him to resign." Rattner called trump "the worst failed leader our country's ever seen." Amen, sir.
All you really need to do is imagine what they'd be saying and doing
if such a spectacularly incompetent and deceitful President were a Democrat.
Yeah. I noticed that.
CNN uses Johns Hopkins University as its source. And that's how they slug it: "Source: Johns Hopkins University".
7:21am - last stats I saw on CNN:
Total U.S. cases: 216,722
Deaths: 5,137.
Compare that to
7:31am - on MSNBC
Confirmed U.S. cases: 217,081
Deaths: 4,857
MSNBC also cites its source as Johns Hopkins. They specify "Johns Hopkins/NBC News".
So I'm stumped!
I picked up on that yesterday when we switched to CNN during an MSNBC commercial break. Noticed their numbers are different. But as it happens, more of my favorite shows and favorite newsfolk are on MSNBC (blissfully NOT using ANYTHING from Rick Santorum! AND they have Rachel & company), so I wind up watching MSNBC more. I picked the MSNBC numbers for consistent logging of stats here, just so there's one source to keep track of. It still gives you a good overall idea of how the statistics are trending. THAT'S what I'm most interested in following. How fast and large the increase is.
Again, though, that's TOTALLY AMATEUR methodology from me here. I make no claims about failsafe expertise or years of experience tracking statistics like this. It's merely a note and a disclaimer so the parameters posted here are clear.
