Yep. That's his thing. We're just seeing how he runs his business

in Manhattan.

It’s always worked before, to get him his way, in that insular little microcosm in NYC. When nobody was that interested in looking deeper, or probing irregularities. And he was just this silly rich guy who bloviated a lot, and yucked it up with Howard Stern. A personality. An entertainment. Harmless.

But THIS is DIFFERENT. There’s a WORLD - no, a freakin’ GALAXY of difference.

That first Facebook cartoon reminds me of NBC's Chuck Todd.

That was his news “philosophy” until recently.

“I just bring this side in and let ‘em say their piece and that side in and let ‘em say their piece and that’s that. I’ve done my job. What? Fact checking? Moi? Nah. Not my job. I just bring both sides in and let ‘em do their thing and let the viewers decide.”

Bastard. Fact-check much? Anybody can just come in and spew crap on “Meet the Press” and you will just let it go, unchecked and unchallenged, right? ‘Cuz it’s not your job?

In my fantasy of “if I ran MSNBC,” he’d be the first to be shown the door. I might not even set up my office yet. This is my ch more urgently important, especially for the message it’s send to everybody else farther down the food chain.

Don’t care if he’s recently “reformed”. The damage is already done. And there’s no way to trust his news judgment. No way to be sure he won’t fall back into his lazy hands-off news “philosophy” once he thinks the coast is clear and he can relax back into his old bad habits.

Hell, I might also look deeper to whoever saw fit to install him as host of that distinguished longtime show in the first place, and show THAT executive the door, too. (And Andrea “oh but her emails” Mitchell, you better watch yourself. You’re already warming up in the proverbial bullpen for that, too.)

Vlad, and he’s been a good and productive servant, so why not?

Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s something the two of them talked about during one of those private “just between the two of us” meetings. Safe haven arrangements just in case he runs out of options here.

Keep in mind, this is one of the most petty and vindictive LITTLE men we’ve ever seen.

It’s just beyond ridiculous. They’re SO threatened by her. I don’t get it.

I just do not get it.

What - does she give them some kind of a complex? Jealousy maybe? Resentment of all her impressive accomplishments, or her keen intellect, or her fearlessness in the face of constant attack, or the glaring superiority of her mind AND her heart, and her decades-long efforts for the greater good? After which she got rich anyway, through her own hard work? Unhappy that a girl is smarter than they are?

I’ve been wondering about this since 1992. I’m just at a loss to explain how or why she’s so damn threatening to them.

I do NOT get it.

But what I do know is what that says about THEM. And it ain’t good.
