I have known, heard, and read about Joe Biden for - what? Some 30 years? It’s been a LONG time. Through Anita Hill. Through various judicial appointment hearings wherein he chaired the Senate Judiciary Committee. Through one or maybe two truncated runs for President as well as his two campaigns as President Obama’s VP.

I have NEVER, NOT ONCE, not a SINGLE TIME heard ANY complaints about him from any staffers anywhere who said he yelled or screamed at them or mistreated them or intimidated them. NOT EVEN ONCE!!!

NOT ONCE.

I HAVE, however, heard such a complaint about Amy Klobuchar getting testy with staffers. Hell, I’ve worked for SOBs who were horrible, shrieking at people, throwing typewriters out the window of an upper-story office, and damn near exploding. One miserable summer I worked in a newsroom where the ladies’ room was so crowded with terrified interns in hiding that there was no room to pee. I’ve worked for SOBs who could be heard screaming at some poor unfortunate underling from OUTSIDE the newsroom through not one but TWO sets of closed doors. I’ve worked for one SOB who shrieked at his victim with such angry violent venom that he actually made a grown man cry.

Hell, I worked one job in which I renamed one of the major crosstown streets on which the newsroom was located “Cry Street.” Why? Because that’s what I did while driving home on it every day after work. The job was THAT miserable.

So I KNOW what it’s like to work for disgraceful AND deceitful and conniving shits and political backstabbers. I have NEVER heard anything even remotely like that kind of anecdotal evidence about Joe Biden.
