calimary
calimary's JournalWhat bothers me more than just this guy is the voters who saw fit to install him
in a position of power. WTF, Virginia?????? Governor Vaginal Probe isn't enough for you?
I'm glad I sent her campaign some money!
It wasn't much, but I sent it. California loves her too! And even though she represents the people of Massachusetts, I feel like she's America's Senator. She represents consumers EVERYWHERE!
As "decided" as Roe v Wade?
The answer, as we've seen - even with cases that have gone all the way to the Supreme Court, is: not necessarily.
And Welcome to DU, btw. Some of us have rather deep feelings about this issue. Rather deep, indeed.
I really like what I just heard our Vice President say - about how tragedies like the Newtown CT massacre "awaken the conscience of the country." They do indeed. And I think it's been WAY too long in coming.
DAYUM! I think I am WAY liking this second-term thing!
AGAIN I have the long-yearned-for pleasure of realizing that FINALLY - I. AM. Actually. Getting. My. Money's. Worth.!
Pleases me GREATLY to see how our President is stepping up to the plate - on so many issues I care about! Especially the ones, like this, that have been ignored for FAR too long. Give it some of that Presidential Punch, dear Commander-in-Chief!
VERY nice to see this! Elections sure do have consequences, don't they? And for FAR too long, it's been all the wrong ones. That "hopey-changey thing" is actually working out rather nicely for us, I think!
Man, NO KIDDING!!!!!!!
The minute I saw that, I realized - he's living proof. Do you want somebody with anger issues like THAT - having access to guns?
Hell, I wouldn't want him anywhere near a glue gun or a water pistol!!!
Did you see this one?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10022147151Same thing with kitties.
Get the kleenex.
Well, it's GOOD! It's a really good one!
It should be said, read, and spread!
We've got at least three decades of wrong-winger GOP CONservative, ayn-randian, selfish, pennywise/pound-foolish counter-programming and flat-out deprogramming to do - to take our country ... NOT back, but FORWARD.
Aha. Got it. Well, indeed glad you're here!
Even when they ARE demanding (and sometimes they are, as Goldie our dog is), they're not demanding. It's neat, and comforting, and self-affirming, to have other life forms around the house. It's neat and comforting and healing and emotionally replenishing to live with them and deal with them and communicate with them. Our animals are SO important to our lives and our well-being. In many ways they make life worth living.
Glad you're here.
Welcome to DU, to ALL the new ones appearing here!
Welcome to Takket, supercats, Left Turn Only, jthompson, John.Mekki, Claybrains, ZX86, CranialRectaLoopback, and Left Turn Only!
Glad you're here! Whether you're brand new or you've been lurking a long time and just didn't weigh in much!
This is a GREAT thread. OF COURSE Michael Moore's essay will be misunderstood! OF COURSE! There are just too many ding-dongs out there being fed constantly by Pox Noise and the teabagger universe and the limbots (limbaggers?) of the world. Too many willfully ignorant. And proud of it. Too many lazy and gullible and closed-minded.
Supporting our troops goes A LOT farther than just buying some cheap-ass buck-98 made-in-China car magnet and slapping it on your car's backside. A LOT farther. One could certainly begin by not sending more of them to needless wars we were lied into and had no business fighting, in the first place. And then one could certainly continue by NOT nickel-and-diming them on their medical care, upkeep, and the simplest necessities like decent housing and food.
Dayum! Wish we could figure out a way to clone him!
He speaks for me - even as far distant from me as Florida is from California.
I seriously feel like a constituent of his. He certainly serves my interests!
