Madame Speaker wore my Armistice Day poppy pin *today*!1
I've criticized the service clubs for being too wingnut, but my membership is permanent and I work from within. So a few months ago I did the internet shopping thing in search of permanent poppy pins instead of the paper VFW ones, and ended up with these with the motto that might be British. I gave one to friends/family. I wear mine to the local post, not just on Veterans Day.
So tonight on Brian WILLIAMS there was a clip of the Speaker being asked about Dear Leader's whacked letter (possibly written by Stephen MILLER from jottings of Dear Leader), and there was our poppy pin being worn by Madame Speaker!!!1 I am over the moon!1
Brits wear them all the time. Sometimes the whole guest panel with Graham NORTON all have them on.
