I think that young people are legitimately affected by the geopolitical atrocities, the environmental neglect, the cost of living. Social media brings it to our awareness when MSM does their usual corporate filtering.

Yeah the young don't like how the adults let shit slide. We are closer to a catastrophic tipping point than we have ever been. They can see this.

It's long been known that - adjusting for other societal factors - extreme wealth and income maldistribution gives most people a sense of hopelessness and futility, that approaches that felt in poorer and even autocratic regimes.

It likewise makes people feel "poorer" and "more of a failure" than they may actually be - even under very judgmental standards.

But we can't talk about that because billionaires might not like it.
