(15,512 posts)That is very interesting. It also conflicts with Mayer's suggestion that Biden ever promised to defend Thomas in the hearings -- a claim wholly founded on Thomas and his wife's saying it.

It just means he told Thomas he'd treat him more like a criminal defendant than a person about to be interviewed for a job.
