Will there be a consensus candidate to battle B&B?

With Biden getting in, I see him and Bernie as the two beasts from the East that are going to be very hard to take down by the 18 others.
With the most name recognition, possibly most money, infrastructure, high level endorsements, etc., it’s hard not to imagine them coming out after Super Tuesday March 3 as basically the only two left standing.

With the obligatory codicil of “its still way too early”, I’m wondering if there might be quite a few candidates that don’t catch on (under 3% in reputable polls) that will drop out fairly early in the process and try to coalesce behind one person to take on Bernie and Biden.

I think that would probably be a woman.
Either Harris or Warren.
New Hampshire is REALLY important to Warren.
S.Carolina is REALLY important to Harris.
They both need to finish at least third in those states.

Who do you think might be a consensus candidate that could go toe to toe with B&B?

*For those backing Bernie or Biden, please don’t take this as my being anti either one. I am not. This thread is just about the horse race and some early speculation on how things might shake out.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I think Mayor Pete is a real major talent and could make this very interesting and Warren it absolutely hitting it out of the park policy-wise. I'd be surprised if these 5 don't continue to dominate with a lot falling out after SC. I think the debates will definitely be very helpful and can't wait for them to start.

Biden and/or Mayor Pete.

And here's why: Biden is from Scranton and both have that Jimmy Stewart persona/image. (Jimmy Stewart hailed from Indiana, PA/ Indiana County. He is still revered throughout the state.)

the more he is liked. I see this as a 2 horse race with Bernie & Biden.

If that is the case I hope Bernie comes out the winner. I want to see real change. I think Bernie would really shake things up (in a good way).

I’m either Bernie or Warren.

I like Pete’s brilliant intellect, but I don’t know his policies.
