James Comey donated to Klobuchar's presidential campaign in first quarter

Former FBI Director James Comey and his wife donated to the presidential campaign of Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), according to recently released Federal Election Commission filings.

Comey donated to $2,700 to Klobuchar's campaign and his wife made two separate contributions -- $1,000 and $1,700 -- during the first quarter of 2019. Their donations were first reported by Rolling Stone.

Other high-profile donors to Klobuchar's campaign include Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf, 21st Century Fox CEO Dana Walden and Zynga founder Mark Pincus.

Klobuchar and Comey were in the same law school class at the University of Chicago. Comey once told Vogue that Klobuchar was "annoyingly smart."

Just matter of factly defeat him. No need to reinvent yourself every time the wind blows.

Many of our other candidates are desperately inflating their popularity among the progressive base toward the nomination, but once that wears off they would have a ton of problematic issues to defend and far less chance against Trump.

As always, I'm impressed with candidates who don't overreact to day to day developments, and don't pander.

Obviously it's difficult to see Comey's name without acknowledging he stuck us in this situation in the first place.
