She was going on and on about how he handled the heckler. Oh and Pete will be on Morning Joe again tomorrow. I like Mayor Pete so I’m not complaining. It could be worse..I have not forgotten what they did for Trump.

1. Her constant gushing is a little hard to take

2. Yes it is. I think it is genuine and that it is due, in part, to

the number of contacts who have let Mika and Joe know that they are excited about Buttigieg. Both Mika and Joe have been saying that Republicans and Independents have contacted them to say that they are excited about him. If they weren't hearing from others I don't think Mika would have been gushing.

I think they are also gushing because they can get him on their show just by asking. Part of the reason Mika and Joe gushed about Huckabee and Trump was because they made themselves always available for media and the media wants to make news and have high ratings - so they gush.

I do think it is problematic that "media strategy" becomes a major part of why one candidate rises in the polls and others don't. The comparison should be values, competence, and policy - just the facts.

In any case, I do think Mika needs to turn it down a few notches.
