or a tax lawyer, I'm not stupid or presumptuous enough to explain someone else's taxes. I have no interest in anyone's tax returns but my own. I have no malice towards Bernie or any of the candidates on the Democratic side. I have looked at the OPs on his returns but don't give a shit enough to click on the link to look at them.

You know why I don't have any fucks to give about twitter and internet sleuths spotting potential errors on Bernie tax returns? The media hires pros to go over them.

Because if there were errors on Bernie taxes they would have been reported on by the media. Like all these media reports about the errors on Beto's tax returns. I'm only going to post two.

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke and his wife appear to have underpaid their taxes in 2013 and 2014 because they improperly claimed the deduction for medical expenses, according to tax returns the former Texas congressman released on Monday.

In those two years, O'Rourke and his wife, Amy, reported a total of $15,718 in medical expense deductions. However, at the time, people under 65 could only take the deduction if their medical expenses exceeded 10 percent of their adjusted gross income, and the O'Rourkes' expenses didn't exceed that threshold.

On their 2013 and 2014 returns, boxes where taxpayers were supposed to have put down 10 percent of their adjusted gross income were left blank. A paid preparer whose name was redacted in the returns prepared the O'Rourkes' taxes in those years.

The Wall Street Journal, which first reported on the issue, noted that the error means that the O'Rourkes appeared to have underpaid their taxes by a total of more than $4,000 in those two years.

Before I get the obligatory wahtaboutism or deflection. There are a lot more links to where the errors on Beto's taxes were discovered right away after they were released, by tax professionals employed by the media.

If there were problems with Bernie tax returns the media and others would have been all over it.
The silence speaks volumes. They would have had a blast with a gasp! "socialist" cheating on his taxes. You're welcome.

O’Rourke may amend past tax returns due to under payment

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke says he'll amend "as appropriate" federal tax returns from 2013 and 2014, when he may have underpaid around $4,000 because of incorrectly deducted medical expenses.

O'Rourke late Monday released 10 years of returns filed by himself and his wife, Amy, through 2017. The ex-congressman promised to release 2018 returns as soon as they're filed.

The incorrectly reported deductions were first reported by The Wall Street Journal, which had a tax professional review O'Rourke's returns. The review spotted that O'Rourke deducted almost $16,000 worth of medical expenses when he should only have deducted 10 percent of income.

A campaign spokesman said Tuesday that "after becoming aware of this error, the accounting firm that prepared the filings was immediately informed and will file an amendment as appropriate."

I'm female and younger.

What's the correlation? It's like this George. Tax returns. The errors you and your friends are looking for in Bernie's and the ones professionals hired by the media found in Beto's. It was a long post so I'm sure you overlooked this in my response.

Before I get the obligatory wahtaboutism or deflection. There are a lot more links to where the errors on Beto's taxes were discovered right away after they were released, by tax professionals employed by the media.

Would you like me to edit my previous post to include correlation along with he obligatory wahtaboutism or deflection?

tax irregularities, not me. You posted about yourself going through a candidates taxes looking for irregularities and wanted me to explain them. I'm not a professional tax person, and I don't explain other peoples tax returns. I simply proved to you that there are professionals hired by the media going through our candidates tax returns and finding irregularities. In other words George, they do the work so we don't have to. All we have to do is read about it.

Again, you're very welcome.

I don’t know if you know this but certain newspapers have been combing through all the candidates’ returns. So far they’ve only found one candidate who failed to pay the amount due the IRS. It wasn’t Bernie.

Now it's time to get past that distraction. It should have never dragged on so long. So many of our other candidates set the example and he was right to follow. I hope all of them release their returns. If not, it will make a difference in my decision.
