Since so many of the party's positions now reflect those he ran on, he deserves that support, even if he is now a self-loathing member of the 1%

They just didn't seem to be the values of the other presidential candidate in the primary.

Bernie enshrined those ideas into the platform at the convention and moved them from the fringe to the center. I don't think he claimed to invent them.
