(32,641 posts)Mayor Pete is so young and unknown at this point, it seems he must realize the very high odds. On the other hand, time is on his side. A good showing now will certainly help him on future presidential bids. Mayor Pete would be higher on everyone's list next time, and who knows, maybe by then he'll be Governor Pete or Senator Pete.

(26,293 posts)Mind you I am still on the fence and will remain so because to me the one I will support come hell or high water is whoever wins the nomination because the most important thing is making sure Trump does not see a 2nd term.

The party wanted Obama and did everything in their power to promote him. I don't know how the Dems feel about Mayor Pete on a national level. He does have the support of the party faithful in the Midwest.

My feeling at the moment is I want to see Warren/Harris first, or possibly Harris/Buttigieg with Warren as Attorney General.

The difference is vast but half the country still wants Republicans.
