If he keeps talking about a revolution and taking the "fight" to the convention, it will inflame the base.

This is why Mahatma Gandhi (and MLK Jr.) never called their respective movements "a fight for independence" or "a fight for civil rights" ... they called it a "struggle"

in real life, are not a bit interested in following Gandhi or MLK Jr.'s model of achieving social change.

That is one of the reasons I worry about what Bernie has started. Maybe it is about those particular young people and other influences they've had in their life, more than anything Bernie is doing or saying. But I'd feel a lot better if I thought the two leaders you mentioned were among their role models.

The electorate is a little whiter than 2016. In Michigan in 2016 blacks were 21% of the electorate. This year they are 18%.

But CNN said the electorate is also a bit more moderate, and the breakdown on "can beat Trump" versus "agrees with you on issues" doesn't look great for Bernie. Although a lot of Bernie's supporters believe he is as electable if not more than Biden, so that may not mean much.
