The confrontational video w/Biden today only helps him. It shows strong, unscripted pushback to NRA

and the GOP/FOX media machine related to the gun issue.

It was natural and passionate.

Amusingly, Republicans and some on the left are sharing it as something bad for Biden.

Shit, I hope every voter sees it and that it's seen til November.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Biden with that one comment probably clawed back a large chunk of the moderate pro-gun crowd that thought he was going to take their guns if elected.

I saw nothing in the clip to indicate they were UAW. They looked more like trades. One had a Iron Workers decal on his helmet.

And there would be no reason why UAW members would be there in a group like that if it is a new plant being built.

It would be building trade unions involved in building the plant. I also reviewed the video and did not see one helmet with a UAW logo. Besides, our members in the factories don't wear helmets when assembling the vehicles.

Especially not here on DU with a vastly disproportional population of people who really dislike guns and are strongly in favor of more restrictions.

People who don't think anyone needs or should have anything beyond a shotgun, .22 plinker or maybe a deer rifle, and CERTAINLY not an AR type weapon, will very much like Joe's attitude, and none of them would be in the slightest likely to vote Republican. People who think there is already too much gun regulation will think Joe's a cranky authoritarian asshole and not many of them would vote for him anyway.

Gun control is a winning issue for Democrats where we are already in the majority.

primary today, I would vote for:
