They'll let anyone in. Including Bernie's audience.

Detroit does have a moat, we call it the Detroit River. It was created to keep pesky Canadians out. It doesn't work very well.

about 3/4 white, reflecting the nation's white percentage in that respect. So while this photo misrepresents Detroit's own turnout for Sanders, all those white faces do say something about the state. Like whitey-white IA and NH.

That said, Sanders needs the MI Democrats he insults and despises to join his base in giving him a BIG majority, just a little one won't do, and they're unlikely to oblige. Also noting his famous opposition to keeping America's auto industry from being forced into closing down.

The auto factory jobs multiplier was approximately 11 at that time. That is, "for every job on an automobile or light-truck assembly line, ten additional jobs are created or supported in the economy."

Why does it so often seem that Sanders believes his dream of socialist revolution depends on collapse and desperation?

Nobody was bused in... there's a car for every body in that room

The Detroit metropolitan area is about 70% white - I'd expect a big even in that venue to reflect those demographics and not those of the city proper.

Still... I'm sure a Biden rally in the same place would have looked very different!
