NEW Morning Consult poll: Biden 54%, Sanders 38%

https://morningconsult.com/2020/03/06/democratic-primary-polling-joe-biden-bernie-sanders/

The latest Morning Consult poll tracking the race found 54 percent of Democratic primary voters nationwide identified him as their first choice, putting him in front of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), his chief remaining rival, by 16 percentage points. The survey of 1,390 Democratic primary voters was conducted on Thursday, after Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) ended her campaign. The poll has a 3-point margin of error.

Democratic primary voters are starkly divided by age, with older voters overwhelmingly preferring Biden and younger voters — who have turned out to vote at much lower rates so far — siding with Sanders. Seventy percent of voters ages 45 and up are supporting Biden, compared with 57 percent of voters on the other side of that age divide backing Sanders.

After Biden’s victory on Tuesday, primary voters are more likely than they’ve been after earlier contests to agree that the results are reflective of the Democratic Party (67 percent), and that the best-performing candidate will be the Democratic nominee (60 percent) and can beat Trump in November (62 percent).

That's got to be both humiliating and humbling for Bernie. I think that he understands that this is not going to be his year and that he will never be president. If he wanted to run again in 8 years, he'd be 86 years old. Hmmm.

What one night can do with polling outfits . …..

P.S. I remember the polling after Iowa, NH, and Nevada, wherein they had BS winning almost every state on Super Tuesday. BS was ahead in the National polls and the betting sites had BS favored to win bigly.

On JB's sites and even positive social media reports many came on to tell him to drop out, they were and still are very cruel in responding to anything concerning JB.

I am sure we will soon be listening to her lament how she is being treated unfairly by being excluded from the debates.

Jill isn't in the race, so they have to go somewhere.

I'm not even really joking. I think that's essentially what it is.

He just doesn't have a path to victory with the states that remain. He'd need BLOWOUT victories that just aren't going to happen.

The primary schedule was switched around significantly.

It was only a dead heat for a week or so, then Clinton regained her lead and won easily.

A repeat of 2016 isn't going to help Bernie.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
