You may be right but I'm not counting him out yet. He was down 21 points in 2016.

It's as if Bernie's campaign (and fans) think that Biden's campaign is UNAWARE of what's going on. I think it's a safe bet that the Biden campaign knows full well that Bernie is going to give one last hard push in Michigan... and the Biden campaign will be right there pushing back. (In fact there have been several stories on it already, I mean... it's in all the papers, surely everyone has seen it.)

You may be right but I'm not counting him out yet.
The big blowout that was expected in California hasn't materialized. And I think this is an indicator of what may happen in Michigan. Bernie needs a decisive and massive victory, but that will be denied to him. Also, things are looking VERY bad for him in Florida... if the current polling stands, he won't even be viable in the Sunshine State and could come out with ZERO delegates.

2. Bernie still has a Hillary problem

I'm going to be writing an article about this more in depth, but, I think Bernie still has a Hillary problem going on. Even within the Democratic party, there was pause around Hillary given the nature of what the next four years could be. She was not particularly popular in MI, WI, PA. This gave Sanders votes that weren't really for him, but against her. Now heading into MI, where he won before, he does have the Hillary foil.

This could be a problem.

If I recall correctly a big part of why Bernie won Michigan was because of anger over NAFTA, which Biden voted for.

Bernie also has strong support from the Muslim community in Michigan. I doubt that has changed, unless they too are afraid he can't win.

But we also know that Biden saved Michigan from the recession with the auto bailouts. He was the one in the state doing the work. So NAFTA vs saving jobs. It will be an interesting race to see.
