Bernie Backers Crave Warren's Support, but Her Fans Might Vote Biden Anyway

https://www.thedailybeast.com/bernie-sanders-backers-crave-elizabeth-warrens-support-but-her-fans-might-vote-for-joe-biden-anyway

Less than two months ago, Brent Welder was tweeting “#DropOutWarren” at the Massachusetts senator trying to overtake Bernie Sanders in the 2020 progressive lane.

Now the former Kansas congressional candidate is waiting to see if Elizabeth Warren, who officially ended her presidential run Thursday, sides with the Vermont Independent he strongly supports as the 78-year-old tries to recapture a sense of frontrunner momentum.

-snip-

Gripes with Warren from some Sanders endorsers are also apparent as he plays catch-up with Biden.

Curtis Wylde, a professional wrestler and DNC member from Missouri who supports Sanders, derided the moderate grouping around Biden as a “centrist Megazord,” and feels that Warren should have dropped out and endorsed Sanders.

I had to look up Megazord. For anyone equally ignorant about the Power Rangers:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mighty_Morphin_Power_Rangers#Antagonists

The series takes place in the fictional town of Angel Grove, California.[11] On an exploratory mission, two astronauts discover an extraterrestrial container (referred to as a dumpster as a result of its smell) and breach the unit, inadvertently releasing the evil alien sorceress Rita Repulsa from 10,000 years of confinement. Upon her release, she and her army of evil space aliens set their sights on conquering the nearest planet—Earth. The wise sage Zordon, who was responsible for capturing Rita (and also being enemies back on Zordon's homeworld, Eltar), later becomes aware of her release and orders his robotic assistant Alpha 5 to select five "teenagers with attitude" to defend the Earth from Rita's attacks. The five teens chosen are Jason Lee Scott, Kimberly Hart, Zack Taylor, Trini Kwan and Billy Cranston. Zordon gives them the ability to transform into a fighting force known as the Power Rangers; providing them with an arsenal of weapons at their disposal, as well as colossal assault machines called Zords which can combine into a giant humanoid machine known as the Megazord.

Haven’t thought of that word in a long time. In 1993, I owned several megazord toys. I loved Power Rangers. Of course, I was only nine years old.

At the end of the day, I saw it coming. Biden is the only chance we have of defeating Trump and winning down ticket races. Period.

In a local Democratic group here, I saw Sanders supporters doubling down on the snake emojis just yesterday. "She was asking for it."

They may want her support, now that it's a two-person race, but I'm not sure the campaign will -- or even can -- slow the momentum of the attack everybody else machine.

Now that she can't be our president, I want her to be Senate Majority Leader.

Warren will endorse BS. Some of her supporters will go to Biden some will go to BS. Bernie seems to have a lot of trouble making friends and building diverse coalitions. One wonders why so few of his colleagues support him. Maybe familiarity does breed contempt.

Didn't have any younger male relatives in the right age bracket to be Power Rangers fans in the 1990s.
