If he has no real path after March 17th, he needs to stand down. Odds are quite good he is crushed in many of the upcoming (March 10th to March 17th) primaries.

March 10: Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, and Washington primaries; North Dakota firehouse caucus

March 17: Arizona, Florida, Illinois, and Ohio primaries

April 4: Alaska and Hawaii party-run primaries; Louisiana primary; Wyoming caucus
April 7: Wisconsin primary
April 28: Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island primaries
April 29: Voting in the Oregon primary begins.[319]

Super hostile.

I fully expect a 2008 Clinton primary voter level of defection (24-25% voted McCain, 5% did not vote) or higher from his 2020 supporters this go-round. Not saying 25% will vote for Trump, but they will go 3rd Party or stay home I fear, as they are FAR less actual Democrats in 2020 than they were in 2016.

https://isps.yale.edu/research/data/d130

https://sites.duke.edu/hillygus/files/2014/06/hendersonhillygustompsonPOQ.pdf

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2017/08/24/did-enough-bernie-sanders-supporters-vote-for-trump-to-cost-clinton-the-election/

Another useful comparison is to 2008, when the question was whether Clinton supporters would vote for Barack Obama or John McCain (R-Ariz.) Based on data from the 2008 Cooperative Campaign Analysis Project, a YouGov survey that also interviewed respondents multiple times during the campaign, 24 percent of people who supported Clinton in the primary as of March 2008 then reported voting for McCain in the general election.

An analysis of a different 2008 survey by the political scientists Michael Henderson, Sunshine Hillygus and Trevor Thompson produced a similar estimate: 25 percent. (Unsurprisingly, Clinton voters who supported McCain were more likely to have negative views of African Americans, relative to those who supported Obama.)

Thus, the 6 percent or 12 percent of Sanders supporters who may have supported Trump does not look especially large in comparison with these other examples.

Sanders himself fosters this toxic environment. From refusing to join the party and taking cheap shots at it constantly, to trashing other Democrats with misleading and disingenuous attacks and equating them to Republicans, to hiring Stein-voting divisive trash for the upper echelons of his campaign, to making excuses for his supporters behavior and trying to play the "everyone has mean supporters" card and blaming Russia for it, etc.

The tone at the top matters.

1. She is clearly still thinking about how she and those associated with her campaign were treated. She also mentioned the private conversation with Bernie about the subject was “short.” It was probably a lot like the mansplaining incident she endured at one of the debates.

2. She probably doesn’t think he’s going to be the nominee so why bother.

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/10/here-comes-the-berniebro-bernie-sanders/411070/

The Berniebro is #FeelingtheBern.

The Berniebro is posting a video on his Facebook wall: You really have to watch this. Bernie Sanders says things that no other candidate would ever consider. These are real policy proposals that just might change the country.

The Berniebro asks what you thought of the first Democratic debate, then interrupts to say that you shouldn’t confuse Clinton’s soundbites for actual substance. By the way, the Berniebro adds, he was really impressed with Bernie.

They have pretty much let Bernie off the hook, even though Bernie's plan would cost a lot more than Warren's. She was accused of being "vague" even though Bernie was even more vague. https://www.economist.com/democracy-in-america/2019/09/25/why-elizabeth-warren-is-vague-about-health-care

It was the lopsided scrutiny of Elizabeth on MFA when she was frontrunner that brought her down. Stuff like this: https://www.politico.com/newsletters/politico-pulse/2019/10/25/what-the-focus-on-warrens-health-plan-does-and-doesnt-mean-781543

And she never recovered.

Not sure what Bernie's expertise is in, other than Eugene Debs.

She did not copy his plan, but she flubbed it when she, like him, said people wouldn't have the option of private insurance. He got away with that, she didn't.

He has endorser that throw out hateful, mean and even vile stuff and he brags about their endorsement. And his people does it and shifts to bots and Russia.

The conversation was short. He didn't own it and no desire to resolve

It is on Sanders. He does not own things. He points the finger and blames everyone else. It doesn't happen with all campaigns, only his and Trumps. There is a reason for that.

Now I don't hate Bernie, but it seems nothing was learned from what happened four years ago. In fact, it seems to have gotten worse. As a former Bernie supporter I'm angered and saddened by this. Bernie's response, or should I say nonresponse, to this has disappointed me deeply. I don't hold him responsible for every instance when his supporters or advisors act out, but he is responsible for how he chooses to deal with it. It hasn't been even close to adequate and that is on him. His movement could've been a force for good for this country but, sadly, that opportunity has been squandered. It didn't have to be this way. Glad Rachel asked the question and how some Sanders’ supporters had been particularly nasty about her (brought up the snake emoji thing) Also thought Warren was smart to pivot it away from how she had been treated and to discuss the women in Nevada who had been doxxed after criticizing M4A before the caucus. And she did make it clear that, while all campaigns have some of this and a level of responsibility, there seems to be a serious problem with this within the Sanders camp.

That said, the impression I got listening to her discuss both Biden and Sanders? There’s a genuine warmth and closeness to Sanders I don’t think she had with Biden. Her comments about Biden were measured and positive, but a bit distant. (My impression is he is what he appears to be... a decent man) She got to Bernie, and it was “We’ve been friends for a very long time” I think she’s smart not to endorse right now... but body language and tone... despite a rough campaign.., I think she genuinely likes Bernie.

4 friends I have used to be very passionate, yet right-minded Bernie supporters. 3 of those friends are now Biden supporters, and one of them is a staunch Bernie supporter. I still meet up with and interact with the 3 Biden supporters. The final friend who used to be a right-minded Bernie supporter now has become a Bernie sycophant. So much so that she's totally segregated herself from the 4 of us, and she's blocked us on twitter as well within the past few years because we won't support Bernie to the point that she does. She's also hooked up with Bernie supporters of her stripe near where she lives and on twitter who are bullies/stalkers/rude/crude to others on twitter as well. Her own daughter told me. The daughter is also extremely worried about her Mom and the amount of monies she sends to support Bernie's campaign for the presidency.

Now into our mid-late 50's, we all used to go shopping together, we were there for her when relatives/her parents/husband passed along the way. We were invited to and enjoyed her daughter's beautiful wedding in 2010. We'd all come together and eat elaborate vegan dishes I'd prepare on many a Saturday night, and we all voted for Hillary in the 2016 GE. But like I said, the past 2.5 or so years, we've noticed that our 'buddy's' was becoming increasingly angry, disagreeable, loud, rude to us, unyielding, always stating that the establishment is destroying this country, and that anyone supporting the criminal Democrat establishment is no better than the GOP We could no longer stomach her bile/rudeness (Or her saying that word Democrat), so the 3 of us cut her from our lives. I sent her a Christmas Card the year before last but heard nothing from her, and up to that point we'd exchanged cards/gifts for various occasions for almost 15 years.

The 3 of us wonder where our 'old' friend went, and if we'll ever see her again.

Probably not.

--- I keep hearing people talk about how horrible Sanders supporters are but I haven't seen evidence of it. I'm being serious, I really haven't. (Please, no comments saying, "Are you living under a rock?" I do consume a lot of social media.) I heard people say that Bernie Bros make sexist, racist and homophobic comments to anyone who disagrees with them. Bernie is a progressive. So I would assume that his followers--of which I am one--would have progressive views too. So why would they be making racist, sexist, homophobic comments to people? I don't get it. It kind of goes against what they claim to believe. Could these people be trolls---Russian or otherwise?
I have a number of friends who support Bernie and none of us would dream of ever making such horrible comments. So this whole thing puzzles me. So please explain this to me without name-calling or rock throwing. Thank you.

If Democrats cannot, or will not, come together to defeat this existential threat - well, in future please don't complain about how bad things are on this website. Please take those discussions offline.

There is a great deal of work to do. First and foremost is to remove the current orange rat bastard, I mean potus, from office.
