Inslee knocks Trump for wind turbine remarks

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) took aim at President Trump during a CNN town hall on Wednesday over Trump's claim that the noise from wind turbines causes cancer.

Inslee, who has centered his 2020 presidential campaign on the issue of climate change, remarked that wind turbines "cause jobs," not cancer.

“We know how dire this situation is," Inslee said. “…[W]ind turbines don’t cause cancer, they cause jobs,” he continued, drawing laughter and applause from the audience.

His remarks came in response to Trump's claim made during a speech to the National Republican Congressional Committee’s spring dinner earlier this month, during which he claimed that "they say the noise [from wind turbines] causes cancer."

3. Beto said that exact line a few days ago at a house party on live stream

He also added a lot of specifics about renewable energy and wind and tied it in with free community college and allowing high school students to earn Associates Degrees and trades for free while also earning their high school diploma.

It's a great line and got a lot of laughter when Beto used it a few days ago.

probably to the end of May in a nation of 330,000,000. And, btw, googling Inslee today brings up a lot more media hits than the day before he responded to Trump's ridiculous notion. Not an accident on the part of his campaign, I'm sure.

He is also getting new, belated national exposure for last night's CNN town hall, like this:

Inslee: Vote Trump out in 2020 rather than impeach
During a CNN town hall, Gov. Jay Inslee (D-WA) explains why he supports removing President Trump from office in the 2020 election rather than pursuing impeachment.

6. Inslee might actually do better by saying "I'd like to punch him in the mouth!"

I know that is an aberrant notion for many here, but it strikes me as the reality today.

And Biden's leading in the polls everywhere right now.

ps -- I should explain that my original comment wasn't meant as a criticism of Inslee. He's a darned good Governor and I'm glad his hat's in the ring. I just think using basic language when it comes to tRump and the rogue GOP party will get more reception.

He did a great job at the town hall, and showed that he actually has a plan to not only take on climate change, but health care, the economy, immigration, and to fix the mess trump will be leaving us.
