The tide really turned when Trump started defending Bernie and claiming he was "afraid" of him becoming the candidate.

(12,265 posts)The country has had it with that nonsense. Joe is a positive person who doesn't like going down in the mud, and he can WIN!

(3,733 posts)I agree with you.
I think people have had enough of angry, pessimistic messages.
Judging by yesterdays results, I think most people are quietly and deliberately determined
to put us back on the path to normalcy.

(12,265 posts)I had a chance to meet her in Boston during a visit there. I went to her office to tell them how much I admired her and she happened to be there, she was so gracious and wonderful.
I wish I was convinced she could win this time. I think if we get the White House, the House and the Senate she becomes a major player in putting the changes in place that we ALL want.
For the first time in three years I slept like a baby last night.

(3,733 posts)I'm not really upset tho. The majority of Democrats are more comfortable
with Biden and I totally get that.
Biden is going to be a great president.
I'm glad we had such a great slate of candidates to choose from.

He's a decent, experienced, and well known person who just happens to be in the right place at the right time.
Last poll I saw showed we were split 50-50 between those who put importance on beating trump (hate him) as priority one and those who are voting on policy as number one. But heard someone say it was up to 65% ?now in the former category.
Biden is the perfect antithesis of Trump imho.

(1,737 posts)I know Trump's fear of Biden and preference of Bernie impacted my decision and a few people I know. I never gave Biden a thought until the Burisma fiasco. In fact I wasn't happy when Biden entered the race. But, my #1 goal is for Trump not to be re-elected. Therefore, Trump's continuous defense of Bernie certainly did not help him. However, I believe Clyburn and AAs in SC gave the Biden campaign the CPR it needed.
