-- On Sunday, it was announced that Arizona Rep. Greg Stanton of the 9th congressional district is endorsing Joe Biden for President of the United States.



In a released statement, the former 2011 mayor of Phoenix said Biden is the "best choice" when it comes to beating President Donald Trump in the election.

"Joe will deliver real, meaningful results for Arizona families by improving and expanding access to health care, creating good jobs, and re-establish America's role as leader on the global stage -- especially when it comes to combating climate change," said Stanton in a press release. "I know that Joe is not only the best candidate to take the White House, but the best choice to make sure that we have majorities who will fight for working families in both the House and Senate."

2. I believe Biden will be in the best position to grab crossover votes

We need to work for those crossovers and uncommitted independents because those votes will swing the election in several key states. Bernie won't get any (or very few) of those, and we should consider that at least some of the "Bernie noise" is coming from people who plan to switch to Trump in November.
