14. He's Qualified to be POTUS

There are still others who may be, but he has gotten a “golden ticket to the finals” because of his experience as “Assistant POTUS” for eight years.

That experience weighs heavily in a race against an incumbent POTUS.

And it isn’t his personal relationship with Obama—outstanding as it is—it’s his closeness to Obama’s style and substance when approaching the job of president. And those qualities rubbed off on Biden in a way unique to the candidates.

And it’s mostly useful when you serve under a great POTUS and going head-to-head with an awful POTUS like Trump.

He’s in the “nomination finals”, but it’s a long, long way to go.
