with Warren once she dropped out because I loved her pitbull style in the debates (only way to beat Trump there, IMHO).

But my original thought was that Biden would be a strong counter-Trump candidate that could counter any age "challenges" in the election with a vibrant, younger politician (Kamala fit the bill) as the VP. Still would love that! And (SHOULD go without saying), I will still VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO.

I think it's ridiculous to claim that the VP slot needs to "balance the ticket" by race and gender. I believe it's more important to balance the ticket by ideological appeal- what candidates stand for rather than what they look like.

Kamala fails on two counts. She doesn't deliver a state or an area. We win California with or without Kamala on the ticket. For Christ's sake, we can win California with Tulsi Gabbard on the ticket. Kamala also has no proven ability to deliver the black vote. That's why she dropped out- Joe Biden had it locked up. Nobody is going to deliver Obama level turnout in the black community, but Joe will do very well with or without a black running mate. Black voters are the Democratic Party's most reliable supporters and don't need the paternalistic concern to vote responsibly.

The demographic groups that have really under-performed historically are Hispanic voters and young voters. By my observation, the Sanders campaign has more youth (under 40!) participation than all the other campaigns combined. My suggestion....Katie Porter! I know- she's female and she's from California- but I'm a fan.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
