Is Bill de Blasio Running for President in 2020? Sure Looks Like It

New York Time

He has traveled to three early presidential primary states, held $5,000-a-plate events for donors and hired a small-dollar fund-raising consultant.

He spoke at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a pro-Israel lobbying group, and is now on another trip to raise money in Boston, after which he will meet with Democratic activists in Las Vegas.

These are the concrete steps of a man preparing to run for president.

But thus far, that man, Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City, would prefer that his words speak louder than his actions. When asked if he plans to run for president, he gives the same answers. He is “not ruling anything out,” and will consult with his family before making a decision, one that he says will come “sooner than later.”

The ONLY benefit of De Blasio running is that he'd spend less time being Mayor....
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

...all those super-tall market rate apartment towers are taller than they should be because De Blasio is willing to give zoning variances if the developers will build "affordable housing".....somewhere else. Meanwhile, he's unprepared to improve public utilities to meet the needs of all the new residents.

...and we've been fighting his DOT for the past six months after they decided that the best way to rebuild a 60-year old highway was to build a "temporary" (six years) highway on top of the Brooklyn promenade, one of the city's best known parks.

...and his approach to closing Rikers Island jail is to expand jails in each Borough, but for political reasons he won't put one in Staten Island, so the one in Brooklyn will be twice as big as it is today...despite the apparent reduction in prisoners because of decriminalization of marijuana.

Have you ever read the De Blasio diaries at Vanity Fair? Priceless.

This could cut heavily into Kirsten Gillibrand's support.

Do I really need the sarcasm thingy?
