Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumJust for the sake of argument.. just for the fun of it.. lets say Biden takes the win big in SC
and leads in delegates post SC. Now I understand Bernie is 20 delegates ahead, and there is a slew of everyone bow down to Bernie he has won this threads
Can we say then.. well time for Sanders to get out of the pool.. VP Joe is ahead in delegates..
Let me add this.. everyone should be sweating bullets post SC because Bloomberg is wall to wall commercials and we have not idea how this is going to look post Super Tuesday .. could be a whole new ball game
I keep hitting 10 instead of 20.. its 20 folks.. nothing else has changed..
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

(15,808 posts)And both will get delegates. IF Biden wins S.C., hell have three days to get some sort of organization together for 14 states. Thats quite a feat to do in a short amount of time.

(7,315 posts)How many delegates:
The Democrats will be awarding 63 delegates on Saturday. Fifty-four of those delegates are pledged to the winner of the primary.
The other nine are unpledged delegates, or superdelegates.

Of course I could be wrong but this is what I found in a quick search.

(2,706 posts)I think it can help him in the southern states on Super Tuesday.
Biden doesnt need to win all of them. If Amy wins Minnesota and Warren wins Massachusetts, and Biden can win 3 or 4 states, then he will be fine.

(32,016 posts)Biden 24 and Sanders 20. We will see what the real result is but it is unlikely Biden will "win big" and give him a delegate lead.

(43,398 posts)Far too much fluidity, delta, unknown variables, and externalities at play to make any predictions that are not simply a semi-wild guess. Bloomberg is the joker in the pack.

(3,855 posts)Remember when the pundits were saying Sanders wouldn't last to the first convention.
Then Sanders would be trounced in Iowa
Oh then Sanders wouldn't make it past a diverse state with non white voters
Biden meanwhile was 30 points ahead in the polls
Then 15 points
And now he is maybe 5% ahead in that one state that he is hoping will somehow save his campaign. A state he has no chance to win in the general. So I have no idea how this is going to prove his argument he can win against trump.
Reminder, this is Biden's third attempt at running to be the Democratic Nominee. IF he wins S. Carolina that would make the grand total of states he was won... 1
(And there is less and less reason to think he will even win S. Carolina)
Sanders has run twice. His grand total for both is 25. Or 26 of you count Iowa which I am since he got the most votes.
At least when Clinton was called the front runner and Sanders was being told he should drop out, Sanders had actually won a few states by then.
