In the first contest with a racially diverse electorate, Sanders is overwhelming the field.
He's running away with the support of Latino voters, and is a close second to Biden with support from African American voters.
Honestly, that is impressive. So much for those people that liked to claim Bernie had no minority support.

(15 posts)I remember hearing how Trump would never win this group or that group and how wrong all the pundits were. Regardless of what happened in the general he did win the nomination and he did it with votes from people we were told would "never" support him. We need to wait and see how this shakes out which is why I'm "undecided". The media lies and tries to manipulate us and I'm not responding to it. Bernie's not my first choice but I'm open-minded.

(58,785 posts)until a couple weeks before the Iowa primary. When the polls started going bizarrely wacky the same way they did in October 2016.
Remember all polls showed him unable to break out of the second tier, for a year never closer than double digits below Biden. Until then?
Our intelligence services say Russia is once again using Sanders as a weapon against Democrats in this election, as they did so successfully in 2016. The big difference is that they're working far more secretly and have been able to spend all this time developing their attacks on this election.
Russian warfare is what we're witnessing.

(58,785 posts)They're part of the bizarre turn this primary has taken, and not unexpectedly either. We were all hoping, but far from sure, that we'd have a relatively free election that would enable us to repeat the midterms on a national scale.
The chaos our intelligence services say Russia has been planning is happening, and it's looking very scary. We're going to have to pull together to defeat Repub-Russia, and that requires first defeating their biggest current asset, Sanders. Russia isn't helping him because Putin's a MfA supporter. Very much to the contrary, and a Russia win would mean defeat of everything Sanders' innocent supporters say they want.
