After Super Tuesday, Bernie will be our nominee.

Barring some miracle, after Super Tuesday, 60% of the total delegate count will have been allocated, and Bernie has the operation to amass a majority of those delegates. If Trump is a national emergency, then Bernie will be our lone hope to take him down.

We need to accept this and move forward.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Love Amy, hope she runs again, but i think she's going to realize it's time, and soon. I fear Pete won't before ST. Hard to say with Biden, depends on SC result but even that is probably too late to matter. Warren will get a fair number of those mainstream voters, as she's running a true blue liberal democratic campaign (i love how she's running, capitalism with a dose of regulation and even- handedness). There is time to stop Bernie, and for me a plurality doesn't get him there.

I like Bernie, but I'm not sure enough Democratic primary voters do to get him over the top.

And if he ends up with a massive delegate lead, but not enough to get a majority, then the real headache begins. He'll be able to make a strong case that he should be the nominee. If he gets the nomination, a big chunk of the party will be quite unhappy. If he doesn't get the nomination, a different big chunk of the party will be quite unhappy.

AOC got criticized for saying that in most places she and Joe Biden wouldn't be in the same party. That's true; they are ideologically miles apart. The Big Tent has some issues. I worry about how this is going to play out.

in them, that have delegates that are used to determine the Democratic nominee, and 6 of those red states on Super Tuesday have the total number of delegates that exceed MY STATE CALIFORNIA's delegates.

While California has a lot of delegates, the way the Democratic primaries are, it isn't winner take all, but on a proportional system with each candidate having a minimum of 15%

This means that one state, regardless of the number of total delegates it has, most likely will not be the determining factor in the nomination process, but a combination of states

Democratic primary, along with the discriminatory Caucus process, it was only a matter of time we would reach this situation.

We don't know whether it will be a brokered convention or not, but if it is, it is because no candidate reached the required number of delegates for the nomination.

If hypothetically we were to change the rules that EVERY CANDIDATE agreed to before this process took place, and just give the nomination to the person who had the most delegates, but NOT the required number of delegates for the nomination, you don't think that would also result with some unhappy people sitting it out like they did in the 2016 general election?

I would also suggest that in spite of the abuse and horrendous behavior of trump, no matter which candidate the Democrats nominate, it is anything but a sure thing, though there are some candidates that will do better than others against trump, it is all within the margin of error

In other words, brokered convention or not, there is a very real possibility of four more years of trump

then of Trump appointees, and professional staff who take years to get up to speed., driven out. Also Trump will be untouchable because he will by beyond the statues of limitations.. and 2020 will have once again give the republicans another chance to become even more entrenched in re-drawn districts..

But I sill have hope..

Bernie took a mathematically-doomed campaign all the way to the convention in ‘16, and I sure as hell hope we take a mathematically-possible campaign all the way this year.

If that is the case there is no point having an election, it will be over. I was talking with my family and they said if others have enough delegates and the numbers are right, super delegates can change their votes at the convention and decide who the nominee is, I hope so. I am not clear on all the details. Sanders is a disaster and is becoming unhinged. I will vote for him of course but I won’t help that campaign at all most likely, not that it will matter. My father said he will write in Biden and we are dissuading him from that. It won’t matter in our state. I am preparing for 4 more years of this nightmare, and hoping me and my family make it through. I hate this, it is killing my father before my eyes.

This is as undemocratic as it gets. Are you trying to make people give up trying for a real Democratic candidate?
