Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumBloomberg says company will release women from NDAs.
I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more coverage. It's not on Google news' main page, and I can't find a text about it anywhere, just videos from CNN and the evening news.
Clearly someone in his campaign understands what to say about NDAs, and has put those words in Bloomberg's mouth. Too bad for him his debate prep team didn't understand.
But it worries me. Too many of the American electorate will hear about this and say, "Oh, OK."
There was a Warren response, but it was just "This is not enough." Not a really good zapper.
Is anyone else worried?

(11,996 posts)Tim OBrien was once again on MSM spinning, I mean telling us all we need to know about the NDAs.
SO I know it was a bunch of BS. THEY identified 3 NDAs THEY choose to release...just don't think too many are buying it maybe?

(13,783 posts)...ABC says "will realease SOME women from NDAs." (Emphasis mine). That's even worse than his earlier position!!!! Elizabeth has to work on her sound byte. The media has to be more responsible.

(17,600 posts)He got hammered in the debate. He is going to release some women from their NDA's.
As was posted here previously, he probably doesn't have the legal authority to release all women from NDA's that might involve him, if they involve other parties.
It will always be seen as 'not enough'.
I want Bloomberg to continue to support the Democratic Party. I have more hope that he will continue to support defeating Trump, than the other worrisome candidate - BS.
Bloomberg won't win, and unless someone works a lot harder to really piss him off, he will still support us.
The thing to worry about is that BS will get close enough (in his and his supporters' minds) to the nomination to feel "cheated" when he doesn't get it. Then it's 2016 all over again. Except now Trump has a track record - and as awful, criminal, and inhumane as it is, many of his supporters feel that he has actually delivered on the promises most important to them (see: immigration crackdown).
I don't want Bloomie to get the nom, but he is not the one I am worried about this cycle.

(13,783 posts)... electorate much credit either. I'm afraid a lot that were turned off by the debate performance will now feel free to go back to Bloomberg.
